I've actually recapped this movie to my mom (who hasn't really seen it) as, "It's basically 'Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue,' except it's the DAD who believes in the magical creatures and obsesses over them, and it's the DAUGHTER who thinks he's crazy."

Mary Katherine "MK" was named for William Joyce's daughter, who died of a brain tumor. Joyce wrote the story this film is based on, as well as The Guardians of Childhood series, which was adapted into Rise of the Guardians (2012)

Everytime I watch this movie it brings tears to my eyes. I remember watching this movie as a little kid and just loving it. It reminds me of when times were happy and things were good in my life. It also blows my mind how much time has past since it first came out and since I first seen it. I’ll be 20 soon and I’m like wow, time flys so damn fast. Such an underrated movie, I love ittt❤️

Yes!!! Its sooo cool I just didnt like that they made the mother such a stereotypical hysterical and inkompenent woman. That felt really distastefull and wrong to me. But asides from that. Such a good movie.

@@BrokensoulRider hmmm ok I didnt mean the writers of Arietty took a character from Epic and made that character into the mother in Arietty. I meant I liked the movie but didnt like the way the mother was written as a hurtfull stereotype. Does that make sense? To me that original sentence made sense, but english is also my second language.

I remember this movie, the first 5 - 6 years of my life we didn't have cable (couldn’t afford it) so my mom would buy dvd's every now and then, like 1 or 2 if we were lucky every 4 to 5 months. I remember this exact one, it had barbie on the outside, but when we got home it was actually this movie, I was so bummed out at first, but then loved the movie so much that for like 4 months, I watched the movie at least 3 times a day in a row, I wanted to be the flower girl that became queen so bad, I wanted her powers.

I love this movie. The leafemen are so badass and I love their armor designs. Ronan is my favorite character in this movie. And when he saved MK from the mouse that was the coolest thing ever!!! Him and the queen are my favorite ship! Their relationship was a nice mix of flirty, serious, playful, and protective. My gosh, I wish we got more of them. 🥲

I was catching up with some of your videos and it's obvious that you love enemies to lovers stories. Though it's a little late, I would totally recommend "The Cutting Edge" (1992) with D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly. It's an Olympic ice skating themed movie that I think you'd maybe like ❤
