I Watched Equestria Girls: Friendship Games, Is It Better Than We Thought? 

[Trivia]: In the background of Sci!Twi's "lab" at Crystal Prep there is a calendar showing her birthday. -> She is (now) 17, Sagitarious & it is (still) the year 2013. This is why she HAD to be bad at archery. Sagita means "arrow" in greek, with the mithological character of the constelation being archer/rogue centaur who stealed things from the gods like Prometheus (Sunset Shimmer), but eas never punished.

this was always my favorite equestria girls movie as a kid, i never got why everyone hated it.

as a kid I loved Equestria girls it deserves more recognition in some cases, the songs were SO good!!

3:34 I hc that CHS is a school that offers grades 7-12. In my town, there's a high school here that offers grades 7-12. So instead of attending the middle school you can go from elementary school (the one in that area went to 6th grade) to high school. Its not a very popular option but there's still a good chunk of students who did that. If this was the way CHS opperates, then students at CHS would have seen atleast one lost against Crystal Prep and heard from their upperclassmen about previous ones. I also like to think that Cutie Mark Crusaders (+Diamond Tiara, Snips, Snails, Sliver Spoon, etc) are eigth graders just because they seem so young. This was the last MLP content I saw with my sister. She dropped off from the series after this but it was because of losing interest. She didn't even see the season 5 finale of Friendship is Magic.

On the bit about Pinkie knowing Sci-Twi already, it's more likely that they met at one point, and Twi just forgot, either because of how far back it was, or because she just doesn't remember every person she meets. Then again, who could FORGET Pinkie? Nah, definitely a spy.

EQG: Friendship Games is another one of my favorites of the 4 main EQG films! And Just like you Stardust I too thought it sucks that they cut the duet version of "More That's Out There" from the movie, The song with just Sci-Twi may not be as good but the duet version is definitely a banger in my opinion! And I must admit that out of all the events in the Friendship Games, The one that bugged me was the archery round. Because irl talk, I know some schools do archery but I don't really see why since bows and arrows are usually considered weapons and as we all know most schools don't allow weapons of any kind to be within 100 yards or any distance of school grounds. So yeah I'm surprised that they permited archery to be part of the FG's. I'm also glad that they didn't use the deleted ending for this movie, The one with Sci-Twi going back to Crystal Prep instead of transfering to CHS. Because since she is the human version of Twilight it made a lot more sense for Sci-Twi to transfer to CHS so she could learn more about the magic of friendship!

I just wanna say that I have never cared about Equestria Girls, but I LOVE watching your Equestria Girls videos just for the humor and editing, it's unfair how funny you are, it's like watching a YTP with occasional moments of actually smart and interesting commentary and I'm living for it -- You are genuinely one of my fav youtubers sjhkha

Something I really like about this movie is the introduction of techno music in the score, and you can hear it whenever Sci-Twi is on screen. It's not something you usually hear in MLP media and I love it when characters have their own unique instruments that are linked to them.

I watched the first four EG movies on the weekend for the first time in 7 years, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them even now. It felt really refreshing seeing wholesome stories with happy endings after watching a ton of more serious movies and serieses recently. Yes, the story has some potential plotholes, and some things don't make sense, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment at all. Don't get me started on the music! The soundtrack is great and especially the songs. I know not a lot of people will read this, I just wanted to vent about the series, because I didn't know where else I'd write this down lol

With the girls talking about the crystal prep and that the games happen every 4 years was never a question to me because I thought they were in 5th year of high school (in my country we have 13 years of school, so I always thought they were around 18/19 years old in the movies and series..)

i last watched equestria girls was 2020. i love to see how weve matured to see the movie is good for what it is :)

Okay but the scrapped “More That’s Out There” literally brought me to tears years after I had watched the movie. It’s so good, I understand why it wasn’t included but it gives so much more character depth to Sunset’s relationship to Twilight if you consider it an unmentioned character motivation for Sunset throughout the movie.

the portal in the sky where it's nighttime in equestia and daytime in the human world might not be a continuity error. in the first movie, when twilight goes into the portal it's night time in equestria but in the human world its day time and when she returns home its nighttime in the human world and daytime in equestria from what i remember but idk if im getting that right. i think it might not be an exact day/night difference cause at midnight right as twilight walks in from the human side (i assume midnight is when the portal closes) its sunrise in equestria. but then again in the ending of this movie its daytime both in equestria and the human world so idk maybe its a continuity error.

My one first comment after watching this full movie in my adult years after so long because I couldn’t find it was: How in the name of fuck did they manage to make twilight MORE autistic than she already is😭 (Non derogatory im autistic too I promise this was my FIRST notice.) (Also can we appreciate the character designs omg sunsets outfit is so cool and the vibrancy on the games outfits compared to Crystal preps so so awesome.)

This is my second favorite EQG movie/special. Unleash the Magic is so good, but I like the demo version a bit more "Free the Magic" and it's criminal that the duet song was cut. Why must the world be the way that it is.
