So to answer your question about Unown, I think it’s more so that they’re weak individually but get stronger the more there are. The most prominent instance of this other than the movie is in an episode of Pokémon Journeys where after a little girl’s Pokémon died, the city is plunged into eternal night which is revealed at the end of the episode to be caused by a group of 4-5 Unown. In Pokémon 3 the Movie, there is a crap ton of Unown in a single area also being fueled by the grief of a little girl and as shown in it, the more emotional she gets, the more unstable everything gets. I think Unown is one Pokémon we can’t see the true power of in the games because the mechanics don’t allow us to utilize them as they are portrayed in the lore. The anime seems to show Unown as very dangerous Pokémon if near the right person, but it’s probably not common knowledge.

They definitely found their way again in recent years, after some heavy dross in the middle of it all. Found myself enjoying Pokemon movies again for the first time in a long time.

Ath the 28:50 mark, I think it is an actual second Mewtwo (at least in my head it is) I have 2 points for this, 1: this Mewtwo was tortured by Team Plasma not Team Rocket. and 2: This Mewtwo does not recognize Ash at all.
