I Watched Jaiden's Mario Video

jaiden: talking about how the game is starting to get to her and how she's suffering ryu: hahahhaha

I love that you didn't take away anything. When I'm helping someone it's so difficult to hold back explaining everything in advance. You let her make her own experience!

I'm sure Jaiden would totally give you the picture she made for the profile pic if you asked

Actually, I started watching Ryu when, some years ago, Jaiden mentioned Ryu in one of her videos, and I was immediately hung up. Now watching them two on this... Man, we have come full circle.

Chris Pratt did a great job in this movie.

I like how Ryu gets quiet during the important boss moment, even though it's a recording and he knows what's going to happen

I like how Ryu goes "Hey, That's me!" every time they show up, even though they knew they'd be in it.

The thing is, when you're learning a new skillset, oftentimes, after a smooth(-ish) learning curve, you will end up hitting a wall... HARD. But once you overcome that, the rest of your learning and mastering becomes a lot smoother. Not easy, and I wouldn't even say easier, but smoother. I feel that's what happened to Jaiden at the end. 4-1 was the wall, and after she managed to get through it, the rest went way smoother, despite the other levels being still very difficult.

Now we need to see Jaiden's reaction to Ryu's world record run.

Can we talk about how Jaiden technically beat the final boss twice

Watched Jaiden's video earlier of this today, and now to watch it from Ryu Sensei's perspective! The collaboration we did not know we needed but are hyped to have!

When I saw her video I was (impressed... but also I was) reminded of seeing Jirard (The Completionist) making an attempt at Grand Poo World 2. He spent about 24 hours combined on the first level (It was spread out over 3 or 4 live streams). First of all... it was still captivating to watch it. Event though it was the same level, and it had been going on for hours... but more towards the point I'm going for (spoiler... I'm impressed) you can really see how a challenge like this isn't just about skill. There is also a mental and even a physical aspect to it. (She touch upon both of these in the video) Seeing the frustration build as he started to slip up on parts he earlier could do consistently... I think there even was blisters at one point... yeah... It's rough. I did not see her make this attempt live... But I have seen how much stress it put on a person... And she clearly got what it takes. It's inspirational. (How long until she ups her challenge? :D )

I love this. First he was a trainer and a teacher to Jaiden, and then he watches her video on her learning experience (not expecting for himself to even be in it, and fully appreciating her acknowledgment of the time they spent together), and thoroughly enjoying her content the whole time. Seems like a cool, fun, chill guy

Nice to meecha! Jaiden's video is why I'm here, and the speed run you did after her success was awesome. Personally not a Kaizo player myself (I haven't the skill or patience) but I love watching people breeze through it like its nothing, so I'll be sure to stick around!

Hey I've never been into Mario kaizo or seen your channel but after watching this vid I just thought it was so cool of you to take a beginner by the hand and help her get to the point she could tackle the challenges on her own. I know hardcore gamers can sometimes be pretty egotistical and unfriendly, or uninterested in newbies. It warms my heart to see you take the time and teach with patience and good cheer. I remember a few years ago doing quickie world 2 and another mild kaizo on an Xbox controller/ computer keyboard sometimes. The progression and growth of playing kaizo hacks really is a special feeling. I just haven’t gotten back into them because it’s complicated to set them up on my computer

This is so wholesome. One of the coolest things about video games is making new friendships over shared interests. For me this usually happens over multi-player focused games, but even though Kaizo is strictly single player, there is clearly a genuine connection being formed here. I would love to see more collabs in the future, maybe even running through some co-op focused SMM2 levels or something.

Definitely here and subbed cause of Jaidens video. I was damn impressed with Jaidens gameplay. Ive tried the "easy' mario kaizos and all i can say is after an hour i had a broken controller and a new understanding of the range of the word "easy". Beginner kaizo is like beginner brain surgery. BTW the still image of Yoshi falling to his death with tears while Mario celebrates victory is hilarious and heartbreaking.
