Fun fact: Snow leopards are the only natural predator of both the giant panda, and the red panda, the species of Po and Shifu respectively. So Tai Lung being a snow leopard was entirely intentional

Plus at the time Po was knocking, he "accidentally" timed with the drums and the same didn't happen for Mr. Ping I suppose. Afterall, they had to pause the music to hear who the Dragon Warrior was, so Mr. Ping could just knock a bit to get someone to unlock it from inside.

It's actually funny you mention that hypothetical Po villain origin story, because it highlights the contrast between him and Tai Lung. Tai Lung was fed encouragement and praise his whole life but fell into anger and violence due to a single bit of rejection, meanwhile Po underwent more rejection and turmoil than Tai Lung yet he took it infinitely better which allowed him to become the best version of himself.

If you think about it there is logic shifu failed to instill tai lung with humility and so the rejection and his father figure not sticking up for him after years of hard work that would probably set anyone off

What's funnier is tai lung wasnt as mad at the rejection as he was with shifu not doing anything about it. He was way more angry that shifu did everything to raise him as the warriors and when oogway said no shifu didn't stand up for him

Tailong was trying to use his nerve attack on Po like he did the others but he couldn’t hit the right spots, if you remember earlier Mantis had the same problem when he was trying to do acupuncture on Po and said that due to his fat he had trouble finding them, so it was because of that he was able to take on Tailong.

This movie has 3 great lessons: 1) Sometimes trying too hard to avoid something drives you to cause it. 2) You will find your greatest success by working to build on your strengths instead of focusing on fighting your weaknesses. 3) Many people will judge you by THEIR metrics. Do not allow them to get in the way of defining and then reaching your own goals.

Tai Lung is the best thing about this film imo. And he is coming back in KFP 4. Though whether it's the real him or not is questionable. Either he's gonna be summoned back to life or the new villain is just gonna be shape-shifting into him. No shame in TAI simping. My friend & I simped hard for him when the film came out. And out of the 3 villains, he's the most sympathetic. Filmmakers said they made his eyes gold to symbolize heroism because Tai Lung feels he is the hero in his story who was wronged They wanted a sympathetic villain but they went so hard with it, test audiences felt too bad for Tai Lung. So they added in him laying waste to the valley to make his incarceration more justifiable.

I have a theory about this movie that the scroll actually does what it is supposed to do, but only to the first person that sees it and absorbs its power, that's how Po managed to defeat the Snow Leopard guy, because self confidence is good and all but not enough to defeat a guy like that.
