I Watched Sam Thompson's Documentary on ADHD | Sam Thompson is this ADHD? 

for one, its obviously nowhere near perfect or a complete representation of adhd. i think it can be useful for people who have been struggling to get people in their life to understand, and as a doc thats only about an hour long, it is more accessible to watch this than it is to read web pages for a lot of people or than trying to explain it yourself.
I was made aware of some controversy that happened after this doc originally came out earlier in the year but i cant find much on it. from what i have been told, Black women were calling for better rep and Sam Thompson was arguing with them. That is genuinely all i know and I only found this out after already recording the video and I didn't really know how to include or mention this in-video when i know so little. if there is anything you know of and can link me to, that would be great thank you!

His response was out of order for sure. Such a shame when i do genuinely think this doc is useful. But it is bare bones! As i said a few times in the video. He is someone of the upper class, and cis white boys are usually diagnosed young. I liked some of the things he said and pointed out like nhs waitlists being too long and private being too expensive… i just hope this doc can open some doors to more diverse and complex experiences of adhd and autism.
