In my opinion, the third sonic movie is shaping up to be one of the most beautiful things the sonic franchise has had in a while.

One looks like it'll be the greatest videogame movie of all time, and the other is the Minecraft Movie trailer.😂 It's comical how night and day the quality between them is.

"This boy can TELEPORT?!" So Shadow's teleportation is tricky. Sometimes he needs a chaos emerald to control space/time which allows him to SEEMINGLY teleport. But in other media, he just outright teleports. Here, it looks like teleportation is just part of his power set. Shadow has Chaos Abilities that Sonic doesn't, such as the Chaos Spear, Chaos Blast, and Chaos Control, which is a staple of Shadow's powers. Sonic can use this power as well, but he hardly ever does compared to Shadow. Shadow was created via mixing DNA with Black Arms biology. SonicxShadow Generations will go over this, and it gives him new abilities that tie into his Black Arms DNA. The Project Shadow experimentation was....well. Messy to say the least. We all thought the "Good Doctor" as Shadow says had created Shadow for something good, to be a cure all essentially. But with Shadow, there's always more to him than meets the eye. He's kind of one of the most complex characters in all of fiction because of that. I like to think of him as a light in the dark. Hard to find, but there. Not always there, but it is when you look for it. He has a rough exterior, but it is hard to classify him as a villain anymore. When we first see him? 100% but you understand why.

My favorite Sonic game is Sonic Adventure 2; camera and controller movements are a little buggy, but the storyline is awesome, especially seeing Shadow for the first time 🔥

As much as I love Emma Myers she would've been better for Sonic than Minecraft in my opinion to play as Tom and Maddie's daughter and she and Sonic would have the same bond like Shadow did with Maria.

They could’ve at least made the live action human characters turn into Minecraft characters once they enter the Minecraft world. Kinda like how they did with the playmobile movie.

I will say I'm more excited for the Sonic Movie than I am of Minecraft as I was never a fan of the game even when it was all the rage when I was in Middle School, so I felt normal watching the trailer. I will say that the sonic film seem to be taken creative liberty with Sonic Adventure 2, as Gerald is alive as he wasn't in the game, making me think that the rumor that the villain might be metal sonic seem tru as that rumor also said gerald was alive that not many people believe. I just want to see the film already as they keep teasing Live and Learn over and over again in the trailer, and I can't wait to see it on the big screen when we all sing the song annoying everyone else in the theather who aren't sonic fans.

The salt on the wound is that we could've had the Minecraft movie fully animated with Rob McElhenney set to direct, as he is a massive fan of the game. But of course, behind-the-scenes debauchery led to that not happening, and after a few years of developmental hell, this is what we get. Goofy looking wannabe Jumanji 😂

Mellow just got depressed at the first trailer but he got more hyped for the second trailer shoot so am I also those humanoid pigs are called piglins and I think there's a zombified variant of them too plus that old man version of Doctor Robotnik is actually his grandfather Gerald Robotnik who created Shadow and you ever play Sonic Adventures and Shadow the Hedgehog you'll get the memo

I was so sad when I heard the Zelda movies gonna be live action. In my mind there is no way they can make a live action Zelda good or better than an animated one; none of the characters look like real people, it just feels gross to imagine how all the characters will look with a real person as the base.

Wow,… I didn’t see the Minecraft trailer till now. But I felt your disappointment through my screen. Actually there was a short lived Animated Legend of Zelda series back in the late late 80’s, it was decent. I am looking forward to Sonic 3

One serious series I would suggest watching is HBO’s Band of Brothers. It’s only 10 episodes long and it’s one of my favorite shows of all time. I rank it over a ton of movies too Also, all of your points about Mario compared to the Minecraft movie are 100% valid points

What's even crazier is that fans have not only recreated the trailer in actual animated Minecraft styles but some have been working on their own fan films, like the Ancient Debris animated series by Cube Canvas and Block By Block: The Amulet by Wazzy. Most all of these look up to 10x better than the "A Minecraft Movie" trailer. I think this goes to show that Minecraft was never about Minecraft, it was about what people could create in it and from it.

The main issue there is no narative in minecraft there is no narrative in sims. Any story you slap ontop will be unfamilar to someone who played because there is none. SA2 which sonic 3 is pulling from was basically a whole movie to begin with, jam packed with narative and backstories.

Minecraft is so important and so significant as one of the best selling games ever as it originally was only developed by one person by gave way to so many forms of creativity. It (as cringy as it sounds) was a vast experience where you legitimately could build and make anything you want and with mods it even expanded that world and those limits. They had a set story with the game already having a little dialogue at the end that just baffles me how they dismissed. Minecraft was always one of my favorite games in the world and to see them take the IP and treat it like that is so disheartening.

As someone who's played Minecraft quite a bit...man this trailer made me recoil in horror. It superficially resembles Minecraft, but *wow* it does not mix well with live action. Shoulda been fully animated. Uncanny valley so hard with this. Heck, even if the visuals of the movie weren't so bad...why are the main villains Piglins, and not the Illagers who actually raid villages and have outposts/defacto HQs in Woodland Mansions? Any MC player worth their salt knows Piglins become zombified not long after entering the Overworld.

Speaking of movie trailers, have you seen the movie trailer for ‘The Wild Robot’? I guess the trailer came out a while ago but I only saw it recently. The movie comes out later this month. Dreamworks film. It looks so good! I hope you watch it once available!

As hyped as the Sonic 3 trailer is making me, especially with how they’re gonna adapt Shadow’s origin, they suffer from one flaw…THEY SHOW TOO MUCH. I’m happy they’re gonna include Eggman’s family, but why show us in a trailer? We ain’t even close yet to the release!

Sonic Heroes it is indeed. I played a ton of that game and it was really fun. As you will undoubtedly see, it actually does get referenced in the Sonic 3 trailer.

Fave Sonic Game is easily Sonic Generations, it blends Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic into a complete package that celebrates the whole of the franchise.

They made a live action fan made trailer for the Legend of Zelda years ago, it's actually pretty good, you should watch it.

When you mentioned a live action, Mario movie… oh boy… there was actually a live action Mario movie, but that one actually did really badly and went through development hell with the script constantly changing so it’s best to say the illumination Mario movie was way better.
