Meruelo sucks. A total trash team owner. Not only that, but the Coyotes planned to build an actual arena in Tempe, but the people of the city voted against it. Mullet was only supposed to be temporary. Gilbert’s only a small suburb I honestly don’t think that would work. And a lot of the other options are too far. Why don’t the coyotes do this? Why didn’t they do that? Well, simple, it was difficult. Hockey belongs in the desert, and it will come back.
ppl wishing the yotes get relocated is sad, i’ve always rooted for AZ as an underdog (my dad hates them so maybe that’s also why) i hope they stay. my local AHL team moved when i was around 13 and it was devastating. me n my dad had szn tickets for years
The Coyotes have like 15 fans and most people in the state don't care/want them gone. It'll be better for everyone and everything to have this saga end.
@@ElmerFudd16 dude just because a team isn't more popular than the canadians, doesn't mean they are worth moving. I'd bet you a solid amount of money if you did a poll more ppl in AZ would say they are fans of the yotes than there are seats in mullett lmfao, and when i was a kid and lost my favorite team it was rough, it sucked, i missed being able to see pro players 30 min from my house, it was a special experience I wouldn't want anyone to lose.
@@ElmerFudd16 i feel like you're just a guy that bandwaggons on whats popular in NHL culture, thats how that comment reads. considering fans have not been the biggest issue for yotes, it's been management 100% of the way... much like ATL but you prob would say fans were the prob there too...
@@Chiaomori Management has been most of the problem, though the fans refusing to go to games at Mullett last year doesn't help either. And before you give the typical "It'S sOlD oUt!" response, that means all tickets were sold. Many hundreds never showed up any night and it felt like 41 away games.
@@markmccloskey23 Very strongly, yes. Your fake billionaire owner tried stiffing on rent in Glendale and only spent $250K for the Tempe "yes" campaign. No way he has nearly enough $$$ to buy land and build a new place. They're just delaying the long inevitable.
This is such an embarrassment for the NHL lmao. It's not even about Arizona or whether or not they deseserve a team. It's about an NHL team playing in a 4,600 seat college arena where they're not even the main tenant. I'd say the same for any team. This is embarrassing. The NHL should've forced them to relocate to one of the many cities in the U.S. and Canada that have an NHL quality arena. Portland, Halifax, Houston, Kansas City, Salt Lake, Cincinnati, Hamilton, Orlando, Hartford, etc. all have NHL sized arenas that could host the Yotes for 3-4 seasons. They'd probably make more money in most of those cities too lmao. I don't know why Bettman is so fucking obsessed with Arizona. If this was Calgary they'd be forced to relocate. They were actually already threatened with relocation if they didn't get a new arena lmao.
Definitely needs to be relocated to Salt Lake City. But.. I'd change the name just cuz by now "Yotes" is synonymous with Phoenix/Arizona. Salt Lake City Badgers would be cool
I love the coyotes and I hope they find a way to securely stay in Arizona… idk why they don’t just build a stadium in the east valley. Mesa or Gilbert would absolutely crush it.
There are a lot more fans than it seems, There is a huge amount of kids here that play hockey and wow they just lost their hockey team. it really sucks to see people against the coyotes and for them to move. Because there are a lot of fans that are seriously heartbroken because of the shitty management of this team.
It really isn’t the Yotes fault they are in a college arena. The state keeps rejecting them, I think Arizona needs a franchise in every sport, even hockey, but to see this once state-wide popular franchise crumble to smaller and smaller pieces because of their government is tragic.
Well, honestly, they will never get rid of it. No one wanted Florida but now they are doing better like the yotes and more people want them.@@ElmerFudd16
@ElmerFudd16 Your clearly not from AZ fans give the Yotes all the love it's been all of the GMs in charge of the Yotes that keep messing up everything for them.
@@ElmerFudd16so should the diamondbacks leave too? Also should the suns leave since there arenas/stadiums are ghost towns. Arizona is one of the best states for youth hockey. Without the coyotes donating equipment for youth hockey, we probably wouldn’t see Auston Matthews in the NHL
The salt lake city move actually makes sense & phoenix still has the suns, diamondbacks & cardinals. Salt lake city has wanted another pro sports team for awhile & utah is known for winter sports & it's winters. Hockey's a perfect fit for places like salt lake city, ut & portland, or. #IJS
It sucks that the Coyotes went to Utah for the Arizona fans, but with that said this is what happens when the ownership and the management don't give a damn about their team and it's just a side hustle for them. If the coyotes were under different management and different ownership, I don't think they would be in utah right now
The Phoenix Coyotes🐺🏒⚫️🟣 will definitely be back very soon 🔜. I think it’s only a matter of time before the Winnipeg Jets🛩️🏒🔵🔴 relocate to Phoenix the land auction is most likely not happening in June so the focus is relocation of Winnipeg to Phoenix in 2025-26 season.
