Cause the correct pairs are chosen before they meet its gets real messy... They did season 8 with a queer cast from trans, non-binary etc and people from all parts of the spectrum. It made it way harder cause everyone could end up with everyone ... And some parings were aromatic or asexual so like every type of love was explored The cast is also a large range of races 1/3 white with Asian, Latina, black and indigenous representation Everyone is locked on a house big brother style and go on date challenges Bachelor style. (everyone is paired up by the producers before the show starts and every week you couple up and then one of the top 3 couples from the weeks challenge get voted to be judged and if they are a perfect match they leave the comp and chill in a fancy hotel for the rest of the comp Each Week they find out how many of the couples are correct an done week nobody is and it's very sad cause to people are in love but have to breach up so group can win the prize.

Could you make a video on cultural choosing of social isolation? I feel like so many people get their social life only through highly organized and costly settings like mlms, churches, life coaches, expensive and all consuming clubs and gym classes etc and are opposed to just meeting up at a park or someone's home and have tea and coffee. It takes a lot for people to become friends beyond these paid organized settings and there is always a game to see who is more desperate to send the invitation first even when both want to meet and be social. Basically a video as to why friendships have become so expensive, competitive, and in need of external structure.

I hope yall Americans realize that were I live amongst MANY other places sex is a taboo. Its the absolute norm to NOT have sex before marriage. y'all living on a different planet, i don't think these people would've gone on the show if they weren't financially stable. people with money can't apologise for having more money than the billions of other impoverished people being fucked over by capitalism because that's just how it works. you're also profiting and getting off on the suffering of labourers and so many others with everything you have. the presence of our possessions whether it be money, a simple house, food... is always going to be selfish because you have something that someone else doesn't. those crisps, that dessert you ordered made from chocolate of cocoa bean growers in the congo is not in any way neccessary. money is extremely relative and people who don't have it tend to be the first to speak out against capitalism and go quiet when they hit it big. of course that's the type of creature we are by nature but you definitely have to understand that incredibly wealthy people are just living their amazing (or not so amazing but definitely different) lives because of the monetary system and nothing will change that. it's not about the darn money since the brand deals and ads start after it airs anyway which they all knew, if you're gonna be annoyed just let it be about something that actually matters, i.e. the actual point of the show which was not the money.

The show was kinda boring but Kelz's face whenever they lost money was the most interesting thing in the show. Harry and Franscesca annoyed me, especially Harry ( he lied and threw her under the bus but never apologised for it in private or public), their disregard for other contestants was very off putting.

I think that Harry and Francesca were both awful people and Harry's throwing Francesca under the bus has already been mentioned a lot in the comment section so I won't go into that. I wanted to point out that I got the sense that (from the way the show was edited) Francesca got a kick out of losing the money. In that it seemed like it was a way for her to gage her "hotness" and also may have been why the branded her as the hot one. Because there is this idea that you just can't control yourself around her because she's so hot 🙄. I felt like it came across as "I'm so irresistible I should be worth the money vibe" and I say this specifically pertaining to the hot tub scene with Kelz where she throws a hissy fit because he says that if they have something worthwhile between them then they could wait to kiss. She took it as a personal insult that someone didn't see her as worthy of blowing 3 grand. Also Harry is a trash human and him repeatedly calling Kelz ugly really rubbed me the wrong way.

when you think about it, these people spent every second of every day together and that made them talk to each other a lot and we only saw 8 hours of it. @@edaadiyaman7627 I was thinking it would work more like, yes, every time someone broke a rule the overall pot would drop, but at the end when all the people win, the people who cost the group money would have an additional percentage removed from their personal prize based on how much they cost the group to lose, and the money they personally lost would be further redistributed to the rest of the winners instead. So, for example, if the pot starts at 100,000 and there are ten winners like in the show, but one person cost the group 10k through repeated masturbation or whatever, which would bring the pot to 90k, that'd be 10% of the total pot they cost everyone to lose. So at the end, if the pot stayed at 90k, that'd mean everyone would get 9,000. Except, here, the person who cost the group to lose 10% of the pot, would also have 10% of their personal prize taken away too. So the rule breaker would end up only getting $8,100 and the $900/10% they lost would be redistributed to the rest of the group so everyone would get an extra $90 in this example.

A lot of women a "pressed" about his connection with Rhonda so they are in denial and pretend like the David & Rhonda story arc never happened. Be very clear, if Haley, Chloe or Nicole had Rhonda's experience, these same women blogger/entertainment journalists would not be able to STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. It would be one of the BIG stories of the show. This is how white supremacy works in every space. ERASURE is exercising that power to ignore the humanity of people whom you do not feel represent the people of the power structure, specifically women. I really love this video and I thought you made a lot of good points! Real quick there were just a couple of other issues with the show that I think are worth covering: 1. There's a very slut-shaming undertone to this show. A bunch of these people are really happy with their lives and don't necessarily want to change. And no matter how open they are about that the narrator still makes fun of them for that. Like if someone is openly like "sup I'm hot, I like hookup culture, that's kinda my whole deal" then that kind of honesty should be accepted even if you don't think that's the way someone should be living their life at least they're honest about that. 2. I had a similar issue with the way that the narrator made fun of people's intelligence, especially Chloe. She's upfront about the fact that she isn't particularly smart and nobody's going to change that by making fun of her. If someone admits they aren't smart continuing to make fun of them for that just really seems like punching down. 3. Rhonda has a tattoo that's just the word "Rhonda".

tbh the whole haley saga seemed to be an "unless...?" situation. First she was like weirdly protective of Francesca, saying she hopes Frankie sees through Harry, then she initiates the kiss, then suggests they fake a relationship and when she seemingly finds Frankie uninterested and going back to Harry, she states that she doesn't like the experiment and hates everyone there and then Lana tells her to leave.

Caramel doesn't mean black it just means met shin is that deeply tan. We can only hope it was sprayed on and wasn't natural because skin cancer. Though people do like to associate brown skin with food, cringy. When a guy approaches me like that he's more likely to get a negative response than if he says anything else. Almost literally anything else.

You should check out the most recent season of ARE YOU THE ONE on mtv, they included non binary and an all bisexual cast. It was a lot more interesting then a heteronormative show.

I feel like the producers werent that great at getting the most out of the show in terms of reality tv like you said. In the beginning when Lana tells them that it was harry and francesca who broke the rules why did she do that? If she didn’t tell them it would be way more dramatic and it would kick up suspicions and distrust like crazy. I mean... personal growth :P

One thing I’m nervous about for a possible season 2 is that they have bi/pan cast members and it’s framed as “oh we all know that bi/on people can’t commit because they can’t make up their minds about who they’re actually attracted to” and that it just pushes that dumb stereotype that bi/pan people are inherently more sexual
