where do we go from here?

When I started this anime I didn’t expect it to become one of my favourite romance anime. It’s just so good

PEAK FINALE!!!!

I love how the manga keeps going and shows them actually getting closer as a couple, instead of just ending here.

The story is still ongoing, the manga is still going on. There could be a Season 3, but the manga isn't far ahead enough in the story to have enough material for Season 3 right now.

THIS is how you write a romance. 10/10. These two are definitely one of the greatest couple in anime of the last decade. I really feel sorry for those who dropped this show in the beginning, cause Ichikawa and Yamada turned out to be such amazing characters through the course of the show. Some interesting things i wanna share: *all the titles of the episodes (which are called "Karte" in this series) are always, since episode 1, a phrase or sentence from Ichikawa's perspective, usualy a thing he thinks involving Yamada. In this last episode, when the "Karte" appears, we only see the first part titled "I...", and then YAMADA THOUGHT COMES IN, continuing "We...", and then finally the both together "...Fell in Love", as now both are one. This is the only time the "Karte" had Yamada's own thought in it. *in the manga, the chapters that adapted these last 2 episodes are titled, respectively: Ch. 110 - I Want To Tell Her Ch. 111 - My Love For Her Ch. 112 - I Want To Respond Ch. 113 - My Love for Him So basically chapters 112 / 113 are the ONLY ONES IN THE ENTIRE MANGA that the title is based on Yamada's thoughts, not Ichikawa's. In the last episode they kinda mixed these 4 titles, so it became "I, We, Fell in Love" *the "Karte" is always in a black screen, with the title in white. In the last episode, it's the opposite, it's all white, symbolizing Ichikawa's own world now, not dark anymore, but bright, bc Yamada is in it. *when the band that sings the Opening was asked how they composed the lyrics, they said they were big fans of the manga, and so, they used part of Ichikawa's OWN CONFESSION to make the lyrics. Meaning: we have been listening to Ichikawa's confession for the last 3 months since Season 2 aired. *Ichikawa's phrase after Yamada kisses him, "I really am messed up in the head", is a reference to THE VERY FIRST EPISODE of S1, where he thinks the same thing, but in a more depreciatory way, cause he had all those bad thoughts back in the days. In here, however, we can clearly see he's thinking the same thing with a whole different perspective and meaning. *the translation of both confessions: in Japanese, Ichikawa says "Suki", which they translated as "I like you" (bc japanese people in general don't express themselves too openly in terms of love, so they use the word "like" to many things, even for love), but in Yamada's confession, she says "DAI Suki", and "Dai" means "huge, big", which got translated as "I love you". Of course, this doesn't mean she likes him more than he likes her, but it means her way of express herself is more open.

It's been one hell of a ride. This is my final post...until season 3 (fingers crossed). PEAK!!!!

This anime to me is in the Mount Rushmore of modern romance anime.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say The Dangers in my Heart is already on the same level as something like Kaguya-sama. After two seasons, this series is PHENOMENAL.

We'll probably have to wait a bit if they ever decide to adapt more of the manga... but what I can say is that the progression of their relationship is definitely one of the better ones I've seen in any romcom anime, in probably the last decade or so. There have been so many romcom animes I've watched, where the show ends with the confession, then I start reading the manga that continues the story, only for it to become mid for some reason. Not this one, though! Even after where the anime left off, the manga is still amazing. I really do hope they renew this series and adapt more of the manga... I don't care if it takes 1-2 more years of waiting.

fun fact, the manga volume of the last 3 episodes wasn't released in the US yet when it aired. So there were those, like myself, who read the manga, but didn't know what was going to happen just like anime only fans. Such a beautiful confession, because it wasn't just about him falling in love with her, but him falling in love with himself. Accepting that a guy like him could have a chance with a girl like her. Season 2 ended in volume 8, there's at least 2 more volumes currently, and still an on going series. So very much looking forward to what more they'll explore in the story of a loner and idol falling in love. They could explore more into the fact that she's an idol and how the public views an idol in a relationship, or how long they'll try to keep it a secret. Ichikawa still has plenty of his own issues to work on, while he's still growing, there's plenty of self doubt and insecurities to explore.

As a manga reader I can just say that it doesn't lack end goals just because they're a couple now...

I almost caught diabetes with this anime, so sweet.

This really is some peak romance. I love how despite Ichikawa confessing first, Yamada is the one to actually ask him out - and I especially love how she copies his wording for her confession as well. Now that you've seen this episode, you can go back and rewatch the opening with lyrics - it almost word for word copies the sentiments of their confessions. As a manga reader, that opening blew me away from episode one. Speaking of the manga: The girls' room scene should happen after Ichikawa's confession. He just texts her that he wants to talk after hearing her on the balcony, and we go straight to his confession. The bedroom scene is later that night. So rather than being a scene of Ichikawa being tormented about wanting to ask Yamada about her concerns with a hanging tension, it is a way for Yamada to indirectly tell Ichikawa her feelings prior to her actual response. She gloats to the girls, defends Ichikawa's confession, and says she likes someone who has confessed to her when asked. Also the reason Yamada jumps up when they're cuddling is entirely different. Ichikawa did NOT kill the moment. Nor did he do any procrastinating. I really do think this ordering change takes a lot away from that scene, it was much more sweet, funny, and the emotions were all around more intense - it was one of my favorite moments. I highly recommend giving it a read for yourself. There are also some other minor difference throughout the whole arc - nothing as major, but definitely worth reading. That said, I'd probably recommend the manga even if there weren't any differences. It's just that good. Next up: The dating arc. And don't worry, the quality remains just as high. Considering how well it's done, I wouldn't be surprised with a new season, it's mostly just a matter of content - still don't have enough for production to begin quite yet.

As I wrote last week, these two put in WORK to make their relationship not be a month. They know the challenges, they know how each other's personalities are the opposites. How Kyotaro wants Yamada's acting career to flourish. That audition results will be in season 3. Those two really do love each other. Second, if you want to read what happens in the manga, start at chapter 114 and start reading.

In terms of the overall show, I prefer Kaguya sama. But in terms of romantic development, I definitely choose BokuYaba.

there's only 36 more chapters worth of content currently, and the first 2 seasons covered the first 113. we probably need at least 20 more chapters before there's enough content for another season. its a bi-weekly manga so there's probably not going to be another season for at least a year

This is still my favorite anime of the year. I never thought I’d be this crazy about a romance series. The manga is ongoing, and there is a future light novel adaptation, too. I hope they release a third season.

Anyone that enjoyed this season should really read the manga. The show SPEEDRAN this season and jumped over A LOT of funny parts, as well as they made some weird changes to it too. Just to put it in perspective, they crammed 100 Chapters in less than 30 eps. So, there's plenty more there.

Golden time shows the whole process of a relationship while also going Through personal issues so i would recommend giving it a try for sure!

Well.... 1. They are still middle schoolers... 7-8th grade. They still have a lot of "will-they-won't-they" steps to climb, Physically and emotionally. 2. They are Still concealing any relationship for the benefit of her job As a model and actress. 3. High school hormones will kick in and one or both of them should face other romantic challengers. 4. Can they even get in or stay in the same High school? Same University? How will work interfere or help? They can easily carry this series on Until they are openly dating, they are engaged, They get married, or even they have kids (Takagi-san style)... And we are here for it! 🫶
