1000+hp in a supra? Stop reading what idiots say. No supra is putting out over 600whp in any close to stock form (give me enough money I'll make a supra plane). You can measure up whatever hp you want in your little mythical world, but 1000+hp with any type of toque conversion would turn that supra into a spiral, not to mention there is no way that the suspension or tires could ever efficiently convert that power to speed. Now lets get into how we are going to handle that power for more than 10 seconds in a strait line? Super cars are over-priced, but they are also works of hundreds of thousands of hours of engineering. Crazy beefed up cars exist, there are tons of beefed up supras that do crazy things, but the only kind of 1k+ "super car killer" you imagine is actually, more often than not, MORE expensive than a lot of supercars, looks like shit, isn't reliable, or road legal. I'm not saying those cars don't have a place, they are awesome! But "super-car killer" is a term that bugs me to no end. If you are going to spend 300k on a car get a Lambo, maybe if you take it to the drag strip a dude who spent 200k on a supra will beat you and then put his car back up on a trailer after it blew up while you drive ur lambo downtown and find some hot chick to demolish at home.

@@evloh what I'm trying to point about here is yes everyone could mod a Supra and turn it into a 1k HP with heavy mods and sure it is indeed freaking fast on straights, you are correct about the 200k budget for that things but my point here is this, it isn't always about 0 - 60 straight line speeds. Yeah sure it's hard to control a 1k HP car on straights and definitely u need some skills to handle it but that's not what racing is all about. U do u but for me, those kinds of things are overrated nowadays especially on what you see on Tiktok vids or highway pulls. The Supra isn't always about doing straight line speeds, this thing could actually do track race tho it is heavy due to being a Grand Tourer car (go check it out the Castrol Gt500 Supra, from JTCC or JGTC idk, correct me if I'm wrong, that thing is one of the iconic race cars on the early 90's or 80's) What I'm trying to point out here is you rarely see a MK4 Supra nowadays does do touge and track race. Or let's just say you rarely see Supra that isn't losing its own real nature being a Supra (what I'm trying to point here is like when you say a Porsche 911 turbo or the GT3 trim, it's a production car that is meant to set a lap time and do track days, or even an Evo that's meant to be a rally car trim based on its economy car) And lastly, 2JZ engines are over engineered due to its durable internals so that's why it is pretty easy to increase power using a stock block and that's cool as well. What I'm saying about the 600 HP thing is that is already a pretty high powered car on its category and its enough to make ya feel a lil bit nervous based on what Maaya-chan said in the video.

@@evloh At this point, the 2JZ motor and supra platform are tried in true to the point where you can definitely make a "reliable" low four digit hp motor. We also can't ignore that modern turbo technology and standalone engine management systems allow for a somewhat efficient use of excessive power with respect to tires. Sure an automatic transmission may not be ideal but there are plenty 4-spd autos being used in supra drag applications. Insinuating that it cost 300K to build a 1000hp+ supra is a bit of an overestimate even with a chassis restoration. But you are correct in the fact that modifying a car to such an extent can result in parts and labor cost that matches and/or exceed that of a high end sports car. To me, "supercar killer" is nothing but a play on straight line speed and fails to take into aspects of the car outside of acceleration and speed. All this is to say that people are going to do whatever makes them happy whether it makes logical sense. There's another level of appreciation that comes with building your car the way you want with complete disregard for how anyone else feels about it. Let's be real, if anyone was seeking price/performance value through a supercar, a Lamborghini would definitely not be first on the list. My impression is that your infatuation with supercars is nothing more than a fanciful notion in which you seek validation.

@@evloh yes, 600 HP is already a lot for a car like that especially if you're gonna use it on track, touge or as a street car, but it doesn't mean it takes a way the feeling or the vibe of the car itself as a Supra. Sure her dad, Max Orido-san did some decent mods in order to make that much power for a vehicle like that but it is still driveable and again, it doesn't take away the real identity of the car. It's still on the range of what the car itself should be and what is really known for from its roots. Yeah, call me a purist or any negative stuffs at me as long as u want, IDC and u do u. Just be a responsible driver and don't cause much trouble to the society and to fellow car enthusiast like me.

This is what I kinda hate about car culture nowadays, the genuine love and passion for cars are slowly dying due to tiktok hype and it's kinda sad.
