I do think it helps, honestly I think like 2-3% of all interactions I've ever had in league were negative. I would like a profile option to automatically mute everyone.

i will say, i didn’t think it was a big problem, until recently i’ve been paying attention bc of the update and people get wayyy too mad in all chat

@@dbamp You can hide all chat on settings. Even more, you cannot see all chat by default. If you activated it, why are u complaining against it?

agree ! disabling all chat sounds to me as if riot can’t fix the problem otherwise. Anyway, it definitely shows that a certain social class might better get a therapist than to play league.

@@390Dovahkiin There is an option when you go to settings in game to disable cross-team chat. That will permanently shut it off for you.

@@themeow-sician1664 buddy, I literally just scrolled through his entire RU-vid, I have watched every single video except 3, which ill watch now. I am a dedicated fan, and have watched him for years, he has dropped off the from the Xerath gameplay he was put in montages for. You innately lose game sense when you constantly face bronze-plat players. All I am saying is, i miss the Zwag that literally could make people call him a scripter within 2 minutes of the lane. He was one of the most mechanically gifted mid laners, top 50 as the worst mage in the game. Only reason he wasn't rank 1? Cause he didn't play other champs. I just wanna see more high elo practice, that is all. I understand it's a business now, but still.

@@DittoScot First, I usually mute all or turn off all chat (because that is something you can do) at the start of my ranked games and I rarely type in norms. If you want me to be toxic, I can be. I keep it to myself otherwise though. Second, all chat is fun and games. The people who are toxic can just be muted. Tab + Left click is all that is needed to do so. Not a difficult concept. Third, it is an opt-in feature. The fact that you are saying good riddance means that you specifically went to your setting and enabled it, just to complain about it. Imagine going to a haunted house and being mad you pissed your pants. Fourth, there might be an argument for no all chat in ranked because... you are right. There is no need for an all chat when trying to play to your fullest extent. Riot is instead removing it in every game mode which is just stupid because they are for-fun game modes. All chat shouldn't matter. Fifth, all chat has plenty of uses. Why do you think so many games have it? I can no longer tell people which poro to feed in aram, I can no longer say "horsey go vroom" to the 4k move speed hecarim in urf, I can no longer compliment someone's genius username, I can no longer say "I'm not even mad, you played that so well" in norms, I can no longer say "open mid" when I four stack with my friends and we get a random AFK, I can no longer say GGWP whether I won or lost in ranked, I can no longer say "nice penta" to the 0/4/3 Katarina who just wiped my team ulting no less than three times in one fight. What about your favorite high elo streamers who run into each other frequently because they are top 500 or so players? They aren't allowed to have friendly banter? All Chat isn't the problem. Hell, even the player base isn't the problem. Riot is the problem. If you look at most major games, they all have a lobby/global/all chat. There is nothing wrong with that. They live on just fine. Do you really think that people who play a MOBA are just that much more toxic than people who play Shooters or RPGs or Sandboxes? No. The people who player R6 know that if they say toxic shit in all chat, they will actually be punished. In New World, you will be punished. In Minecraft Servers, you will be punished. Even in GTA V online, where the game they are playing makes use of the N word, you will still get punished for using it in public chat. Of course you will just make another account if they ban you. In League what do you lose though? Champions? You get enough blue essence to purchase some of your favorite champs really early on. New accounts cost next to nothing because they have an AI game mode that is filled with Bot accounts grinding to level 30 to be sold. In Siege, you lose all of your DLC operators which take forever to grind for. In minecraft, you pretty much just died in a hard-core world. In GTA V you get non-negligible rewards for leveling from 200 to 201, you lose all of that. In New World, you lose everything in an MMORPG which is a shit ton. League of Legends does not punish you for being toxic, so people will be toxic. There are of course toxic people in other games, but they don't stay too long, so they aren't a problem. Riot Games doesn't even try any other options, they just remove it and say it is for the best. Removing options from players is never the best choice. Giving people freedom (like the freedom to disable all chat) to do as they please without effecting others is the best way to design a game. I just want Riot games to think about their decisions. Everything recently does not feel like they are even close to being in touch with their playerbase. Listen. To. Your. Fans. P.S. sorry for the essay :P
