The Golf Country is real, it exists. Was never sold in the US. Canada may have gotten them, I'm not really sure on that. It's a real 4wd drive golf that you can take off roading. They sit high, just like the MBX version and had knobby off road tires.

If you don't primer & polish the casting to a good shine, it will look better & brighter.

I sand the casting with a block, then 1000, 1500, and 2000 before primer. I haven't been wet sanding after primer and paint I'll have to try it again.

I have a Hot Wheels convertible Porsche with a piece of a band-aid in the blister. I didn't notice it until I got it home. I think what you're seeing on the Mercury is the darker paint on the lower half that has sort of dribbled on the upper half. As far as Neon Speeders, I only found those exact same two while the rest were MIA.
