Lanie and I are flying my Cessna 150 from Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) to Saint Thomas (USVI)-crossing plenty of water, overflying Puerto Rico, dodging weather, and braving gusty winds!
Man it's been awhile since the last edit but honestly this channel is gonna explode with these amazing trips around the world. Keep taking that little Cessna around. I'd do the same in my beech but having young kids puts the axe on any multi day airplane travel. Keep pumping out big travel videos! Maybe Alaska next time or New England Canada up to New Foundland or something crazy! BTW: The NCL Getaway at the end :) I've been on that ship 3 times haha.
Great content. Being a fresh pilot I still have to learn a lot and your content helps me tremendously about radio communication in the US and internationally. Thanks and greetings from Germany.
Nicely done. My wife and I made the trip in April to St Thomas from Northern Ontario in our Aztec. It was our first time flying ourselves past the Bahamas. It was a wonderful time and planning on island hopping again next March. We flight planned avoiding the Dominican Republic but might stop there next time. Great video and looking forward to more.
I am wondering, how do you manage your mass & balance on this 150? Theres hardly any luggage you can take with you if you want to fill your fuel tanks up to at least half full, right?
Looks like extremely scenic flights you do there , still not the very best way to fly long distance over water ;-) Just in case you are interested in how is it in amphibious aircraft, you may find some fascinating content on my chanel 😊 Safe flights! ❤ And by the way, where is your dog?
Hey guys. Where did you get the dog ear protection things you are using. I saw them in another video and I cannot find them anywhere. I have small dogs and I need something like this. Thank you.
i get it’s cool and she’s excited and recording mid flight isn’t that bad but the least she could do is take the phone outta his face while landing especially with a crosswind
Bro holy ****. I was going to compliment your navigation of traffic while maintaining VFR... Then it just continued to get crazier... Those winds off the mtn are likely turbulent on top of everything else. That was insanely high talent... very cool.
Crazy, this morning I watched the videos from the US all the way to Bahamas and the to Turks. Then I watched the video from Turks to punta cana. 10 months since those uploads now we pick up again from punta cana. I'm Dominican and those to videos inspired me to get my pilots license and do this same trip. Best of luck 318 on all your adventures
Why would you risk flying over the caribbean sea in a cessna 150 flying vfr? I would not because the weather can be tricky and also you can have an engine failure. A lift jacket cannot save you.
