Hello Ellis Harling! Eagles typically visit Squamish closer to the December/January time period. Sometimes they arrive a bit earlier in November, and sometimes I still see some in February. I typically see the most in December. They are truly spectacular creatures. I am in awe every year. Have a great spring!
Hello Gideon! The eagles are gone by then. They are starting to arrive now. I find late November, all of December and early January have been the best viewing months for me here in Squamish. I can't wait to see them! I'm thinking I may try the Eagle rafting tour that is offered in Squamish this year. I've never done that, but it looks cool. I hope you get to see these incredible birds. They are enormous!!! Stay safe, Yasmin
Subscribed! Any luck this year? I usually go to Harrison Mills area end of Fall/Winter but haven't been back due to the floods and now the Arctic blast lol
Hello KN Mercado! I saw 7 eagles on my short walk this morning near the Squamish Golf Course. I haven't been to Harrison Mills, so I'll have to check that out. I appreciate the suggestion. Yes, the Arctic blast sucked the life out of my camera and phone batteries, so I missed some great videotaping opportunities this week. Stay safe and please let me know if you find any awesome wildlife spotting areas. Yasmin :-)
Thank you Nancy! So glad that you could join along :-). I'm slowly getting better at this video making stuff. It's an enormous learning curve for me, but I love all the skills that I am learning both personally and professionally. I highly recommend this 'craft' to anyone. This hobby gets me outside and moving, which has been so important for my wellbeing this past year.
Thank you Gisela! I am socially distancing in my own community so having you come along for the adventure is such a treat! I love the comments as it feels like you were there with me. Stay safe!
Thank you Lynn! I'm really appreciating the incredible beauty around me. Making these videos is actually helping me to slow down and smell the roses, so to speak. Glad that you appreciated the adventure! Yasmin
Happy Holidays! They are bigger than you think. I get surprised every time I see them. 🙂. I went to the Fisheries area in the Paradise Valley yesterday and only saw one so maybe try the other areas. The Squamish Golf Course trails by the river always seem to have the most at this time of year from my experience. You just never know with wild animals. Good luck! Hope the new year brings you tons of great adventures. Yaz
Hello Annika! The eagles are about 3ft high and have a wing span up to about 6.5 ft. That is a big wow. I love trying to spot them in the trees. It's like a game. Eagle viewing season is now pretty much over in Squamish. I'll have to wait until November to see these majestic birds again. Stay safe and I'm so glad Devendra enjoyed the video.
So happy that you enjoyed the video Hannyliz. Great to have you join along for the adventure :-). The beauty of this rainforest leaves me speechless all of the time. How lucky are we??? :-)
Awww, that comment just made my day Magenta Pilot! Thank you!!! I had some devastating news today so I really appreciate the smile. I'm all about just rolling with whatever is thrown my way. The next video will be about some pretty awesome adventures off the beaten path in Fiji. Incredible experiences that I can't wait to share. Take care of yourself this summer. Have fun, and play safely. Yazzy
