So so so true…. Money always comes back time doesn’t. Just last month I went on my first solo trip to Paris. Once I booked the flight I was excited but very nervous and scared. For a lot of the reasons that you stated. I was a little nervous to be on my own in a foreign country. But I knew I had to do it because time has just been passing by and with Covid now just made things even worse. I didn’t wanna spend another year putting this off. I couldn’t keep on waiting for someone to come with me it just is impossible to live that way. Absolutely what you said is true when you are scared or nervous about something to do something that is because you have to do it. And thank God I did because I had the best time. And I’m also planning my next trip to Italy hopefully in October. I know that now I’m able to do anything know that I can travel anywhere on my own. Great vlog by the way…such a beautiful hotel.
I was about to cancel my trip it’s literally next week 😢my anxiety was about to win but I just found your video. It’s a sign! I’m definitely gonna go 🎉
@@nicemmmm I definitely had my ups and downs! However, it was memorable and I will try again. I feel like, the reason why I had a lot of anxiety on this trip was because I booked too many days and I had a jam packed itinerary; I put a lot of pressure on myself. Next time I will go with the flow and not go to many public social places alone.
I literally just came from my 1st solo trip... I went to Mykonos and Santorini. It was absolutely lovely. Love your video :) I agree with you, I will go anywhere by myself now. It's an amazing experience.
That's what's up. I'm heading to Athens next Friday (2/25/22). I'll be in Santorini for 3 days too...any heads up you can offer me? I'm unvaccinated too. 🤷🏾♂️
@@RiccoMarselino Let's see... getting around can be expensive (25-45 euros). I used public transportation a few times... it only cost a few euros (1-3 euros). Be open to meeting and conversing with the locals (i.e. servers & bartenders). If you're lucky you might meet someone nice enough to show you around. Don't get your covid test done in a touristy area (i.e. Oia). There are plenty of drug stores and clinics around that provide covid tests at a reasonable price (I paid 20 or 25 euros). I stayed in Kamari because it's near a beach and a bit more laid back than other areas but I did venture out to other villages for the few days I was there so 3 days is a enough to see a lot. Hope this helps, safe travels 😀
@@RiccoMarselino A rental is a great idea...it will work out to be less expensive than taxi service and way more convenient than the bus. You can find restaurants that are reasonably prices, but things will be more expensive in touristy areas. I did some research on Trip advisor to get an idea of the prices and ratings but having a local person with you is your best bet to get the best food. Activities like tours and archeological sites weren't too expensive.
Aw I loved watching this vlog! It looks like you had an amazing time I’ve only ever been on 1 solo trip and that was to Italy. Fortunately, I stayed with my family that live out there but I did pretty much everything else on my own including going to the beaches of Amalfi & Positano! I’d highly recommend a trip to Italy💫💗
I would love to do this and travel solo as I don’t have people to go on holiday with 🤣, could you share tips on how to keep yourself safe? as I worry being a female travelling solo ☺️ loved the video! x
Hi sorry if someone else has asked already or you have mentioned, but we're abouts in zante did you stay your hotel looks lovely, I've been to zante a few times it's a lovely place, loved your vlog x
Lucky you,Greece is brilliant although it`s been a while since I vacationed there.I love Greece because it`s just a couple hours flight away from Basel or Zurich and I can use budget airlines. I have subscribed to follow your journey as im also a solo woman traveler
My 1st solo trip was to orlando and was a disney trip for a week in 2018 and than last December to Paris and than this February 2023 back to orlando non disney trip 🙃 so had go alone around orlando myself to places, walk, uber ,booked some tours etc...because obviously disney trip ur on property, get free bus to parks etc so not as scary alone but😅 when it's actually holiday around orlando not got easy access, it's crazy but I love it 😂 I want to do europe and bali and Australia 1 day
I just got my first passport and I really always wanted to go to Greece. Its hard getting people to go with me. So watching this will go solo. BTW where do you put your bag and phone when you go to the beach for a swim.
Greece is such a beautiful place! I hope I was as brave as you to travel alone. What bag did you use for this trip? Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane.
