idk about dogs yet, but I do know that cats _do not_ taste things similar to humans. Cats can't really taste sweet, their tastebuds process sour, bitter, salt, and savory better. So chocolate would likely be pretty bland to them. (I'm a pre-vet student btw)

Bijuu, in answer to your question, my dog ate an entire Easter-egg (she lived thankfully but she was at the vets for quite a while), and she seemed very pleased with herself. I think she liked the taste of it. So now you know, dogs do enjoy chocolate, they just can't eat it :)
