Each time I go to the Thrift Store I usually record. Most of the time I only find a few things or nothing at all and the recordings get scrapped. I decided to compile a weeks worth of videos that I would normally scrap and make 1 Longer multi thrift video. If you enjoyed this type of video, let me know! Im also open to any new video ideas you may have, just leave a comment below this and give me ideas :)
We sometimes go to The Red, White & Blue Thrift store, I hate the fact that it's cash only, but if it wasn't, I'd spend a hell of a lot more then I do!😂
@ Thrift School, was watching your vid today, happy 4th! You inspired me and I found a game while thrifting. Fully intact, looked it up. Worth about 40-50 or there about, got it for $4.99. thanks for helping me feed the addiction 😂😁
I’m new to Amazon selling and would really like to tackle what you do. How does becoming unrestricted work? Would love to know how you got started :) I’m enjoying the context. Keep it up! Thanks Thrift School!
The fact that most of the time you only find a few things or nothing at all goes to prove that it's almost impossible these days for anyone to make a living at this. I remember just a couple of years ago and before then when it was sooooo easy. Boy things have changed. I mean it's still good to make some extra pocket change every now and then, but that's about i.. but gone are the days when people can make a living at this unless they have a source of new merchandise at a discounted rate that they can resell... Hopefully nobody ever quits their jobs and tries to do this full-time, because they would be in for a rude awakening.
That is not true at all. There are plenty of people who make a good living doing this. Also, you have to take into account where he is located, where he shops, what he sells, what time he shops, etc. For example, I live in an area where there are amazing thrift stores and I leave with cartfuls weekly. I know the right time and day to go for each thrift store. Some people just live in areas where thrift stores are not as good or prices suck. I am sure it is frustrating for a reseller to live in an area like that. But props to them because they hustle harder than anyone in the business.
Wow I have never thought about the gun lock in that way but I see your point. I have only sold one but dang that’s tough. I would definitely feel horrible if something happened.
I know you say the Pokémon figures are pretty expensive at $25 but most of them can sell for $10+ each if they are the regular sized/branded figures and not knockoffs and the bags looked pretty full could’ve been worth at least a longer look at them or doing more research
So funny - I had never heard of BooBah before until this past week. I’ve found 2 of the big ones like you found in this video and 3 of the small versions all in a weeks time. At three different thrifts nowhere near each other in my surrounding area. Then I see him pop up in your thumbnail too. So wild how that happens sometimes.
Right?! I actually found 1 more of the small ones after I uploaded this video. The pink one I found here already sold for $40. Definitely something to keep an eye out for.
Dude, you don't use the 20% discount when you go over $20 at Goodwill? Or you just doing this so you get the full price return if there's something wrong with them? I'm just wondering is all. 😅
Love the channel but I don't understand how you pull a movie like Ossessione that's selling for $128- do you just know to price check older movies like that from having so much experience with this?
I don’t sell trigger locks because they are typically not profitable. I’d have no problem selling anything like that. There is no way you’d be responsible for a gun trigger failure, not sure why you believe you’d be responsible!?!?
Hi new sub here - great channel. One question - once you set up your Amazon FBA account are you automatically ungated in all of those items you purchased (games, etc)? Also, are you concerned that some of the items you are buying will sit past the 180 day mark to the point they will send it back OR does the ranks cover that?
The gun lock imo would be ok because it's a anti item opposed to an active item. Even if that failed. There's 4 other anti fail safes that already come with a gun
So 1st love your channel. I'm trying to get started. I had a question when scanning dvds what to you look for in determining which dvds to grab and which ones to leave. Also how do you know if the ranking is high or low ? Thanks any help is much appreciated.
Apparently the Kohl's Care plush to be on the look out for is Dr. Suess' the Cat in the Hat. Also, always get Yeti's!! It's true. There is always someone who loves Yeti's. They will always sell. Yeti's and Dragons and sharks.
It is important to understand that gun safety devices do not kill. Guns don't kill. The person pulling the trigger does so. Sell it. The only way the gun safety device will kill someone is if they are bludgeoned to death with it. - much like a high school locker lock.
Why do you sell through Amazon when the fees are si high? $19 sale gets you $5? Doesn't seem worth it when you also factor in the cost of shipping materials.
Serious question… I only sell on eBay, so I don’t know anything about Amazon selling. Does some of those dvd’s really go for that much? I just saw that Ossessione dvd brand new sell for $11.99 on eBay. If you’re actually making a huge difference with Amazon selling then I would rather go there for my media sales.
What do you say the items that have the best ranking like the lowest number or the items that are worth selling because those are the ones that are selling the most and high ticket items
Dang! Well I have lots of cards for sale in my ebay store linked in the description. If you want to buy a bulk amount I will work out a killer deal for you.
No I wouldn't sell it - but if you really wanted to you can look into collectors to buy it for itself or the vintage of it and unless they will be a market won't play with it - if you know what I mean.
Hey Man. I've been selling on Amazon for a few years and ungated in many things. How did you get ungated in Brother? I'd love to be but don't even know where I can get those invoices. Thank you. Enjoy the videos!
My kids used to watch Boobah when they were little and I bought the entire set of them. We still have them in the attic. I think I paid around £25 each back then (early 2000s)
If I had to guess I’d say they tape up the game boxes as they are complete. Someone wanted those game pieces for their board game at home that was missing pieces
Leave them Junky cards alone. Nothing but Junk and even if you did find a good card it would probably be beat to death. The way them cards are packed in that Box their all going to have dinged up corners and edges.
I went to so many thrifts and was only finding a couple of things at each place so it was never good enough for a fully dedicated vid. Glad I saved all the footage so I could make this one happen
I dont sell anything gun related. Theres too many variables and too many laws in different states. Selling it online only makes it more convoluted. Something can come back to you years down the road. Not worth it
That would be the same difference if a kid chokes and dies from a game piece, or an electronic that plugs in fails or if the person zaps themself from not plugging it in correctly. Or any other accident that could come from things. Following that line of thought. There is other better reasons to not sell gun related things, but gun and accessory manufactures seem to make it out ok.
