Wow you found some great stuff there. My 2nd daughter, Emily, the one who did the little sketch of you has been learning to play the Ukulele for a little while now. I didn't think she would keep up with playing it but it's been over 2 years now. We bought her a shiny purple Ukulele for her birthday or Christmas present, I can't remember which now. 😊

My church used to have something similar to that called a yard share instead of a yard sale - it was definitely really fun.

A Uke is a good thing to have around even if you don't play. A guest will play and he/she will grab that and the fun begins.

I have never heard of this before!! I am now going to have to see if they do this in the UK near me! My fav kind of shopping is charity shops (thrift shops) and by far and away my fav thing you found was the Totoro lanyard clip. Love, love, love Totoro!!

you inspired me to look up no buy groups in my part of the world but they seem to be located in the bigger cities over here in switzerland. there‘s a lot of thrifting going on here though, so I guess I‘ll keep looking in the „brockenhaus“😂 the rarely have nice yarn though 😢

This sounds like it would be fun! Definitely would have to prepare myself before being around all the people, but you did and it looks like it’s worth it. I’ll keep an eye out for one near me.

Love your new uke!! I've been trying to learn for a while now & I can play about 4/5 songs, but I can only play those songs, not actually play the uke!! My husband can pick up pretty much any instrument & play around with it & he'll get the hang almost immediately. I can only play what I've practiced to death 🤣 It sounds pretty in tune already too - bonus! 🎶

Oh yes, I like things like that. We have no-money-shops here in Berlin where You bring Your stuff and can get some for free, it´s run by Punk-like-political-groups (don´t have english words for it). I can´t throw away things that are still good, so I a love to donate them. As I worked with homeless people a lot of cause I donate useful clothing there. Then I was connected to one of this project-shops where I gave things like cables, books, cooking pottery etc. and of cause a german version of nextdoor.xy (is it us in the end for usa?). I have a one room apartment at the moment so I had to give away a lot of furniture and stuff and try not to have too much stuff. But the stockings I would have taken for sure. No perfumed candles, was not even to handle one I bought in the Bio-market. Get headake from it 😞And I loved using candles alot, until my chaos-tomcat burned himself two times shortly after, then I was afraid. He is such a clumsy cat, like me😅 So I guess I would have gone there to enjoy watching all that stuff, not knowing what treasures might be hidden. And happy to get ridd of something I don´t know where to storage.
