Everyone talking about the TL Type S brakes, 4th gen TL Pad size is bigger iirc...not as pretty as the Type S Brembos but the do a good jobs stopping a 3800lb boat.
Get better brake pads and tires they will improve your stopping power more then the bigger brake calipers and rotors will, seriously look into from an engineering prospective. The bigger calipers and rotors will improve your brakes cooling under heavy load (more mass = better cooling) so they will help for extended track or canyon runs but as far as slowing down after a drag pull they wont be much improvement over the stocks. ( there is a really good article online from i think super street on the stock type s breaks vs stop tech breaks and the stock ones were actually better, check that out before touching your breaks bro)
Tires!! It's truly amazing how going to something like a ps4s completely transforms a car. They made a night/day difference on my 370z compared to the garbage bridgestones that were on it oem. pads/lines/and sometimes 2-piece rotors.. I'd always try that combo before going to larger calipers.
Something that's aggressive yet still has good cold bite. Even the StopTech Street Performance pads I used to run were a huge step up from OEM or OEM-compound replacements.
Always love your videos, bro. As a fellow high hp Honda owner, let me tell you, you're always gonna spin! The only time I don't spin is with M&H slicks at a prepped track.
@the bronze james weight transfer when you floor it puts the weight on the rear So it'll lift the front a bit That's why mid and rear engine cars launch super hard
@the bronze james Open differential, worthless economy tires, sudden torque = spinning. I have a 200whp H2B EK hatch with an ITR trans and I hook up great with cheap 195’s thanks to LSD and good suspension.
@@RollingRoadEFI add another 100 whp and those 195s will be STRUGGGGLING lol trust me when my 8th gen Si was fbo i had the highest quality allseasons possible and i hooked up great even on a 5k rpm launch With solid motor mounts and stiff coilovers id just spin 1st and catch in 2nd but when i went supercharged holy shit you gotta redo your entire launch no more dump the clutch and go and it dont matter what tires you got if they aint drags at a sticky strip you gonna spin 1st, 2nd, AND 3rd.
@@RollingRoadEFI tf are you talking about you didnt comprehend my comment correctly i was talking about you not me. I dont have 195s that shit is tiny and 8th gen si stock is 215 anyways i got 235 35 17s.
@@frostedbuds well at the end of the day you're putting a 4 cyl against a V8 so there's obviously gonna be some losses, but in terms of reliability the k series covers its good given you don't try and push 400plus hp constantly
Fbo, with a new intake manifold and they’re all done with 😮💨😮💨 man this car is so damn impressive for just a S/C. Honda quality is just on another planet
The thing is, these k series engines dont make much with the super charger. Problem with the SI is, its hard to run turbo because of where the engine sits in the bay. That is why you see most of them super charged instead.
I have the TL Type S calipers and rotors on my EP3. Got a set of EBC brake pads and they’ve been great! I recommend it for anyone looking for a budget big brake kit.
You need some falken or nitto tires if you wanna hook. Then do a custom 3.5 inch intake with J35 throttle body, Racing Headers, cams and 3 inch exhaust. It would open it up way more
ah sometimes i get the itch to modify my car. one day i asked a guy who supercharged his 3.0l 2015 outlander GT. he got 460hp out of it, from 240 stock. super quick 0-60, like 4 seconds (down from 8), yada yada. then i asked him: was it worth it. he only said one word: no. then he stopped talking.
Can anyone chime in about the reliability of the C30? Years ago those things blew up left and right. I have a cobalt ss turbo currently, but I'm thinking about selling to go back to an fa5 to either turbocharge or supercharge.
i got a 8th gen 06 honda civic si coupe before i purchase these injectors what do other parts do i need to replace so my engine wont blow up from the power if that makes sense lol
love it man, I remember looking back and only seeing 170 people subbed to you.... You will have a future here man! Make some shorts on tiktok if you have not. it will get the word spread around a bit faster.
Subscribed!! I just love that it's "annoying" to the V8 owners.. like a pesky mosquito that won't go away! hahahaa.... Invest in some nice tires: Michelins will provide gains and retain traction better when worn down, so you don't really "save money " buying some of the other brands - checkout the UK channel Tyrereviews. I'd go with some more aggressive pads, see how long those stock rotors last - some guys just buy a bunch of cheap wanna be oem rotors and burn through them, some will go the other route - 2-piece rotors/brake duct cooling, etc.. I'd try that before dropping big coin on wheels/tires/calipers - which, sometimes there's a weight penalty depending upon which combo ya go with. I like that idea of the Honda not only beating those cars in a straight line, but also: smoking them on any fun canyon roads!!
It's crazy to know a little 4 cylinder can take out the big dogs out there. Just be careful with the mustangs. They tend to take out the competition literally.
