No I didn't go to Disney World. I went to Busworld in Detroit Michigan. There were attractions and rides as well as a bunch of bus nuts geeks and enthusiasts all gathered together with food and drinks for everyone. Much better
than Disney world in my opinion.

As a bus driving brother I just found your channels. You got me hooked, your videos are tremendous! Our bus driving is so regulated that you are constantly under watch. You don’t take the bus anywhere but on your route. You hope you know where to find the nearest bathroom on your route and that you don’t have many passengers so you can stop and pee 😢. Some of our lunch layovers are nowhere near a place to eat so you need to pack lunch or go without. The turnover we have with drivers would blow your mind. I’m going on 11 yrs driving but our 30 ft buses end up looking pretty dumpy inside after only a few months. Some people are pretty sloppy on daily commuter routes. Your coach buses look just beautiful and your job looks so much nicer than how we are treated. Anyway James, be safe, blessings brother

Hello James, as a former owner - operator, now retired, I still watch what is going on in the bus world. I do like your videos and I do like your comments. However, in my opinion we should not compare Europe and the USA, including Canada too much when it comes to buses. Our distances here are so much bigger than the ones in Europe. We can drive 1000 km and still be in the same state or province, while in Europe you can cross 3 or 4 or more countries. However, one thing I wanted to mention - as far as I know, Prevost and MCI are the only 2 companies that build their buses on stainless steel chassis. And that is something never mentioned. I also noticed that a lot of those European buses do not have rails in the floor, with other words, you can't move the seats. Those are two very important things among others. I would love to meet you one day if that is possible. I live in BC, Canada

I still am invited an accept two per year for the new guys to ask an old timer about the good old days and the number of changes that I have seen. Great video James also my compliements t Dennis for his videotography. Maybe one day you two will win an Academy Award. I caught the interior color of your Mercedes design Orange and Blue and the exterior was Blue. Is PCC Urbana having a new addition to the family. I especially liked your closing. The young fellow quickly said he liked the Ptevost. The older Gentleman, like myself, responded he liked the Eagle for its time a great bus to drive. In closing think about if the driver of that beautifully restored 1930 Bus step off his bus and looked around what would be his first words. Thanks for the video it was great.

I’ve tried poutine at different places eye curds are in Canada, mainly in Ontario and Quebec. But my favorite and go-to place is Chez Ashton in Quebec. It’s a chain restaurant. When I stayed in Beauport outside of downtown Quebec City, there’s one a short walk from the hotels I’ve stayed at. Get the large classic, grab some salt packets, and walk back to the hotel. By that time, the cheese curds are softened up. I’ve tried other places for it, some are also very good, some are so-so, some are terrible. Trips to Quebec were mostly the only times I got Ashtons. Poutine can be addicting! Eating it regularly is like a heart attack waiting to happen lol. But the occasional times were a treat for me. I also liked to add the peas or hot dog slices to it for a change up

I watched your video on why bus companies were struggling during covid. Well, I lost my career I started at 16 of being a violin teacher for kids. I am currently 26 and just struggled to comprehend what happened. Good news, my city is hiring drivers. The director of the company told me how much they are struggling to hire people. I got the job. I am shocked how many hoops you have to jump through the DOT. It is way too much paperwork, forms, and filings. On top of the most detailed medical exam I have ever had in my life. I passed all that. Now I got the job right. Nope I have to fill out forms to see why I qualify for the job. They are making it way too hard to get a job. I can't even over exaggerate how many hours I've already put into getting this job and have not gotten paid yet. This definitely needs to be addressed. There are so many steps to even get the job it is a deterrent. But I am impressed that the one I work for now is a union with absolutely amazing benefits and pay. One of my friends makes $47 an hour driving a bus in LA, and has way better benefits than me. Just wanted to thank you for encouraging me to start my new career since my old career died.

G’day James! Quick question - have you ever done a charter coach service into Canada? Is there much involved from your perspective as the coach driver in crossing that border?
@MotorcoachWorld
@MotorcoachWorld Год назад
Hi Matthew. I have but it was a long time ago. Pre Covid. The crossing was pretty simple. You as the driver and everyone one on your bus must have a passport. Otherwise you are not getting across. Sometimes they have dogs sniff the luggage bays but not all the time.

Min 11:23 Miami Florida Metro area with almost 3 million people it has a very bad transportation system, so you do not see many people walking, everybody uses a car, when you walk by residential areas in Miami Florida around 7:00 PM they are like 4 cars per household, so traffic its horrible
