Lol nat, almost all luxury hotels have dress codes for their restaurants. I used to work at one, and they have a dress code usually because it’s not only hotel guests that eat there. Outsiders can eat and make reservations at those hotels too. And to keep up the “luxurious” image of the hotel, they don’t want anyone in a bathing suit, flip flops, t-shirts, baseball caps (at least at the restaurant I worked at). So yeah it’s not uncommon lol
