Oh Nicki, we have the same nights. What I've done though is listen to a good audiobook (with bluetooth earbuds) while I wait the two hours to get back to sleep. It works, I often have to rewind the book because I fell asleep. Try it. This way my brain doesn't go into overdrive to think about everything.

Their life in positano is both down to earth with goats and boats but also pituresque on steriods! When we visit a city for the first time we’ve learned to use a bus tour. (Especially if it’s a hop on hop off type). It helps us get our bearings so then we can walk everywhere and know how far things are etc. City maps are often deceiving for walking purposes. Paris is the perfect example of this.

I used to think the HOP ON HOP OFF bus was a dorky idea. But now if I have a few days in a city I have not explored it is a great way to get your bearings and decide what you really want to see and do. Loved the trip to Barcelona. Hi Nicki, Carlo, Elizabeth and your gorgeous girls! Nic I had to laugh when you said you were alone in Barcelona - all alona in Barcelona. 😂 It kind of fitted to be alone there at that moment. WOW! WOW! WOW! to Eliabeth and the girls in their DIVINE dresses 👗 for the wedding. The three of them in a row doing each other's hair was a magical moment captured on film. Those white umbrellas were just perfect for their outfits!! What a magnificent wedding!! A very blessed couple indeed and the bride looked so regal in her stunning gown against the backdrop of the Castle. Those chandeliers hanging from the trees above the dinner tables was pure theatre and totally exquisite!!! I am an ex Flamenco dancer 💃 and I was hoping you would all go to a Flamenco show in the evening. The girls would love it I think. It's very special to watch authentic Flamenco. Never been to Barcelona it looks lovely.. Elisabeth and the girls looked lovely in their matching dresses for the wedding. I love going on the bus tours around the cities I’ve been to, saves my feet, and get to see places I might not get to see in the short time I’m there. 😊

Awww...glad you did this quick little jaunt and also pushed yourself to explore! Barcelona is beautiful! I lived in Spain for a Summer when I was 16 (probably a bit too young to totally appreciate it). I was mostly in Valencia but Barcelona struck me the most European feeling of them all & the Gaudi buildings blew me away! I don't have Starbucks in my little Mexican village and my family always laughs when I want to go there when I get back to California - lol. Quite the novelty for me! The girls looked beautiful in their matching dresses. Ciao bellas!

16:10 I love that you went on the hop-on-hop-off bus! I travel internationally with my grandma and we love these buses, for the first day or two of our trips, to get a lay of the land. Hope you had an amazing time!!

I too was a snob about tourist buses until I landed in Barcelona with a broken foot. That day on the bus was wonderful and we now do the hop-on-off bus every time we land in a city. The one in Nice is amazing. Store the bags at the hotel and ride the bus until we can check in. Hope you get to go back to Barcelona and really explore. The Sagrada Familia is spectacular inside and do the boat tour of the coast. Curious though, a jumpsuit on an airplane? I never get that. I have a hard enough time in those bathrooms with regular pants.

Great video today, how wonderful to be spontaneous and be able to join Elisabeth and the girls on a quick get away to Barcelona. We took the Hop On and Off tour bus while visiting Barcelona several years ago, and it is a great way to see the city.

Fun video! We always consider taking a tour of new places we’ve never been before. It’s so stress free to let them take you around. No transportation or parking worries. It’s more economical than renting a car. No wasted time on maps and directions or getting lost. It is the best way to see the highlights and a lot more than on one’s own. The guides tell you more about what you’re seeing than one would have time to research in a short time. Most of the time languages aren’t a barrier for a tour. Then after a good tour and over view of a place we can more easily get around and explore more if we’re staying in the area. 😊

I've always wondered what it would be like in Barcelona. It's gorgeous! I agree, traveling alone isn't the easiest, but it's worth the effort to get out and about. Thanks for bringing back memories of Barcelona which we love. We are from the UK and have visited Barcelona twice whilst on cruise ship visits. First time we walked around the harbour, visited the Cathedral as well as obtaining tickets to enter the inside of the La Sagrada Família (breathtaking) then walked back to ship along Las Ramblas. The cruise also included a coach tour along the Almalfi coast, stopping at Almalfi. Second visit my wife stayed on board ship whilst I did the open top bus tour around the city of Barcelona which I thoroughly enjoyed, plus a return visit to Las Ramblas and the market. Thankfully I took loads of photos as we are unlikely to visit again.

What an interesting trip! It's amazing all of the countries in Europe are so close together, and you can just hop on a plane to whichever one you want. I guess it's a little like just going to another state in the U. S.

Barcelona looks like a beautiful city!

I was in Barcelona last year, wonderful city all those tree lined streets, all that architecture and especially that cathedral. I would recommend a visit there to anyone. Warning book up the Cathedral in advance it quickly gets sold out.

I thought you were going to go by boat, but wondered how you'd be there before lunch. It's true the Catalans eat late, but still!! Also, Organic India Tulsi Sleep Tea helps me a lot. I have 3 different sleep teas in the kitchen, and I cycle through them, a different one each evening. The ending is perfect!!
