They’ve a takeaway counter round the corner next to the outdoor green seating area that you can see in the video.It’s a fair bit cheaper and you can sit on those green seats if it’s not too cold and hoping the seagulls are elsewhere

That was a great review Stephen. I love golden, crispy batter like that, the price was good, it was a nice big portion and you could see it was freshly cooked. I love eating fish and chips by the sea, but it usually ends up like a scene from The Birds, so it's great to know there is somewhere nice to sit in to eat them, seagull free. The clouds and the sea look absolutely amazing, nice and windy again too, perfect. It was great having two videos to enjoy today thank you, I'm looking forward to your next one xx

Went to Papa's in the evening about 2 weeks back, used the takeaway as we had a couple of chip eating dogs with us. Sat on the blue seats outside watching the world go by. Price was good, £4.99 for a cod & chips combo( includes choice of curry, gravy etc). You'll struggle to find that value elsewhere. Dogs love Papa's

I love the food at Papas, been a few times since opening but the wait time when it’s busy is silly, took over an hour for standard haddock and chips to arrive

Went to the Papa's in Whitby 2 weeks ago when we were on holiday from Lancs, ordered the seafood platter and WOW it was MASSIVE! Great video as always Steven xx

I went Papas in April last year and LOVED it.... second to Yorkshire FIsheries. Going back in February when I visit Blackpool again!

Hi Can't wait til our visit to Blackpool in the half term - we missed out last year because of covid so it's been 5 years since our last visit. We love your videos because they remind us of everything we love about Blackpool, including the wet and wild weather, that often blows in from the Irish sea! We"re especially looking forward to seeing the Tower in all all it's glory as we've not seen it with it's new led lighting and have never seen it without some form of scaffolding or tarpaulin spoiling the view. Hoping the giant mirror ball will be up and running too - my youngest son is autistic and as well as enjoying all the other illuminations, he would love a giant disco ball! Anyway, enough waffling, once again, love your videos - keep up the good work (We will come and say hello.if we spot you on the Golden Mile) Take care, Simon and family.

Great video Stephen. We took daughter & grandkids there in August on holiday & they all agreed best fish & chips ever. Also daughter had gluten free f & c. Me & Mrs had senior special which included bread & butter & drink.

Looks good fish “n” chips but it should be for that price phew! Don’t think we have a Papas here in Norfolk but we do have Harry Ramsdens and quite a few independents which are in the top 50 in the UK. Nice vlog Stephen 👍

Hysterical weather makes one feel alive!

We went to Papas Monday 27 September for my 50th birthday. We have used the Cleethorpes one many times, so expected good things. The fish and batter were fantastic. We were all disappointed with our chips Monday lunchtime. They had no substance, were bland & had texture as if they had been air fried. It wasn't busy when we went. Was disappointed also as no cocktails on the drinks menu.

Upstairs in that building used to be a dole office back in the 80s.

I Love your videos of blackpool sir , but they also make me feel really sad at the same time I just wish more then anything Blackpool was how it was in the 90s , all the Arcades packed with Arcade games . Gosh i miss 90's blackpool so much

Great vid. My partner and I went to this chippie, midweek, about 3 weeks ago at around 03.30pm and it was a lot quieter then than it appears when you were there. As you say, the batter is good. It is very crispy and reminded us a little bit of a Tempura type of batter. The chips were very good, crisp, nice and hot, and not a drop of oil on them. when we had finished our meals there was not a bit of grease on the plate, just showed how dry of oil the food was when it was put on the plates. The only gripe I have with the place is how you had to order when we were there. You are shown to your table by a server, your food and drink is served to you by your server, but you have to go up and order the food yourself. Not a problem when the place is pretty empty, like it was when we were there, but I think it could become a bit chaotic if the place was really busy. Not sure why the servers can't take the order, but that is the way it is done at Papa's, so that's how it is.

Good evening Stephen. I have some good freinds in Hull and have been to two Papas restaurants in the local area and absolutely loved their food. I'm peticually fond of the Hull patte's and do like a bit of chip spice as well. One things for sure thought the next time were in Blackpool we will definitely be paying a visit to Papas restaurant 😎 All the best 🙂🍻👍🏻

£10.99 isn't too bad I was expecting a lot worse tbh. Considering the avg. Fish supper in a regular chippy is upwards of £7.50 now.

Took my son who unfortuately can't have gluton or lactose. The have it all marked on the menu. His fish was equally delicious and cooked in a seperate fryer. Service was great - nothing too much trouble. They even have a QR code on the menu to check the whole of the huge menu for yourself if you do have alergies or intolences.

Not too keen on these large commercial fish and chips shops geared up for a fast turnover, much prefer the little family run shops that are geared up for the local trade like the one at the bottom of Cunliffe Rd, I remember going in there as a kid as i had family nearby who lived in the bottom section of Greenwood Ave, I also used to go to the chippy near Revoe School on Grasmere Rd, there used to be a good chippy at the botton of Ashton Rd and Central Dr but i dont think it is there now ?

I haven't been to raffles in years. The fish and chips there is some of the best I've had anywhere and reasonably priced too.

Dis you notice the error in Papas branding? You were correct in your comments Stephen, but they have forgotten the apostrophe on their signage, which should read Papa's.

Went on a busy Saturday night, they had a sign saying 35-45 minute wait but should've told us before as didn't see the sign until later, ended up arriving 1 hour 10 mins which sucked but the food was ok

For what you got on your plate I guess it was worth the price and the wait! Portions look massive!!
