Basically if you’re confused, before the popularity that the backrooms received, there was a whole fandom about it. It explains that the backrooms has many, almost infinite levels with most levels expanding pretty much infinitely. The basic yellow office maze is simply level 0. By no-clipping through level 0, he has reached level 1. Each level has different entities that do different things, most bad but occasionally some good.

Never thought seeing ToastedNoodle be disintegrated would make me laugh, but here we are.

If you don’t know beyond the lore of the Kane videos which is in the KANEVERSE,it’s own universe. The backrooms are a big universe that has a lot of levels aka up to the 64 bit limit and negative of that also, with levels with just yellow walls, a beach where a creature where only your peripheral vision can see is there with a bunch of gravestones,and one with floating islands but in the middle is a big island where only one cow live.

okay since everyone’s talking about what the backrooms actually consist of other than that infinite yellow office space to me the backrooms seems like a take on how the world would be like if it was a game and what would happen if we noclipped out of the world. i assume with the whole level system it’s another game within itself? there’s also entire civilizations made of people who (i think) got trapped in the backrooms too. there are various resources found in the backrooms that you’ll have to use to survive, some of which are questionable. of course, there are all of the different kinds of entities within the backrooms, ranging from safe to deadly. a lot of recent backrooms videos show povs where the cameraman is intercepted by an entity of some sort or simply wandering around the levels. it’s like throwing yourself into survival mode in the real world, starting in a surreal world with absolutely nothing except the clothes on your back. there is an entire wiki over all the levels and entities with their own rating system based on safety, entity count, chaos, etc.

If level 1 is scary to you, try level ! (Level run for your life) It is resembling hospital hallways with a red light and the alarm going off all the time. There are a lot of entities that will kill you If you go the wrong way you might end up in the void. Forever.
