Your self control to not buy a second piece of luggage and fill it with books is amazing to me!! Powell's Books has been on my bucket list forever, I'm so glad you got to go!
@@AshlynnCalee My sister-in-law once went to Powell's Books for 3 days and I believe spent one week's income, all on books she bought there. She drove, so she was able to pack her car full of allll the books. Haha isn't that just the book lover's dream??
How crazy you met them all at the store, talk about a meet cute! The editing of this video is very cute and enjoyable. Can’t wait to see what you think of your new books!
You are literally the cutest, most respectful, sweetest ball of sunshine to ever exist 😂💜💜 The little 'you can go by's and 'sorry's and everything else, always with a huge smile, were so adorable, haha
I can’t help but smile when you talk about Ian’s love for Stephen King. The loml passed away in April, he is the one that got me into reading. He read almost every Stephen King book while he was in prison. The first time we went to B&N together we both picked out a Stephen King book and would read them aloud to each other 💙
My husband is there attending school! We are from Canada and my last trip down there to visit him I spent 4.5 hours in there! It’s my favourite place to go when I’m in Portland!❤
I feel overwhelmed just watching this video, I cannot even imagine how stressed I would be in real life 😂 I would need MULTIPLE days in that 1 million book labyrinth
Powell's is the best 🥰 I used to go often when I lived in Portland. I was a 15min walk away so it was not good for my wallet or my already crowded bookshelves 😂
I LOVE Portland! I've been to Powell's Books twice in my life and I dream of getting to go back sometime soon! 😍That was so sweet for you to bring back some books for your fiancé as well and seeing his reaction with the different cover!
Went to this place a couple of years ago with family members! It is a freaking maze at times when you're walking around, but I'ts definitely my favorite bookstore by a mile!
If you want to read more Julie Berry I would highly recommend The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow place. It’s about girls at a boarding school who cover up a murder. It’s set in Victorian England, has murder mystery, light romance, and is so funny!
If you go for a week pack one suitcase between the two of you and then bring an empty one just for books. Take minimal clothes. Then bring home all the books.
Love love love The Invisible Husband of Frick Island! Not too many people talk about it but it is such an interesting concept for a book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was one of the first books that got me back into reading! I’m excited to hear what you think of it when you read it!! ❤
Wow! I'm glad you had such a fun time in Portland! Powell's looked so fun! I've been wanting to go there for sooooo long and this video has made me want to go even more. Also, I'm not sure if you've heard of or read anything by Kristin Hannah, but I think you would really like her stuff. She writes a lot of historical fiction like Julie Berry, who you said you really like, so I figured I'd mention her. Loving watching your videos, by the way!! :D
I'm a little surprised Morgan Long wasn't in this video, but it's still so fun to see a mini crossover event like this lol. I would love to go to Powell's one day.
Another great video sweet girl!! Such self control!! I'm impressed! I do have a question...I'm an East coast girl and it has always been said that the largest book store in the world is at Union Station New York City. At least according to the Guiness Book of World Records, it is. I guess there are lots of different ways to determine the "largest" book store (square footage, amount of shelf space, number of books, number of floors, number of genres, etc). Either way it looks like all you book cuties had a fabulous time! I love when booktubers get together like that! There is a book tuber that lives right there in Portland...her name is Morgan L8ng and she has a beautiful channel. But you're still one of my very favorites! You're fabulous! Thank you for another great video!!
I was just at this book store yesterday! I took a day trip to Portland from Seattle! I absolutely was in aww the entire time I was there! I may have broken my book buying ban >.> >.>
I’m so glad you put this video I’m sure my brother and I would have a lot of fun at that book store are whole family is readers I’m a mix Right now I’m reading 1. Western 2. Mystery staring Elvis Presley 3. A R.L stine fear street book 4. Wrestling history book 5. A manga My brother likes news papers and captian under pants and history and art books and movie books and comic collections Mom likes romance and Amish books Dad likes police books and Star Trek novels
The Passion of Dolssa is one of my all time favorite books!! I don't know anyone else who has read it so I'm so excited to see what you think! (Warning, the ending had me literally SOBBING I don't think I've ever cried that much while reading a book😭)
"The largest Barnes & Noble by square footage is the store located at 105 Fifth Avenue and 18th Street in New York City, which covers 154,250 square feet and has 12.87 miles of shelving. This store is also the world's largest bookstore, according to Guinness World Records." IDK if thats accurate was just curious after watching this, but good video!
I absolutely love washing all of your videos! You just bring me so much joy! 💕 I would love to try a Stephen King book but horror scares me. Is there a book you would recommend for me to start with? xx
Thanks for the great video tour. I plan to go to Powell's---- some day. ShawnaciSchroeder, you may have been reading a different side of romance. They're not all fluffy. I read very well written Romance books. If you need recos, please let me know
