Visited Norway with my dad years ago. It’s better to go down in a low gear instead of hanging on the breaks. =O) Next trip for you should be Hurtigruten! lol

If you knew how to drive correctly breaks would not be in used in steep hills, especially not going down.

Yes, these are some of the best places in Norway to visit. May I also recommend Raumabanen railway and, above all, the coastal steamer Hurtigruten from Bergen to Kirkenes and back again, perhaps both in summer and winter, experiencing both the midnight sun (in summer) and the northern light (aurora borealis, in winter).
