I Went To The Slums Of Manila Philippines And This Happened!! In this Philippines travel vlog i take an adventure through the worst slum in Manila, Philippines known as Tondo. This area of Tondo that I walk through is known as Hapilan. Though many people say its not safe to visit this place, I felt very welcomed and embraced. I had a wonderful time walk through Tondo in Manila and meeting the people who live in this slum. Enjoy my adventure through the worst slum in the Manila Philippines, Tondo.

I love how people are interacting with you and welcoming you unlike here in the USA and other Western countries where either people stare at you weirdly with stern faces instead of being welcoming. Keep the videos coming, Meyer. Love learning about new cultures it is truly beautiful.

If that's a slum, that's the cleanest slum in the world for me and people are nice, they even have good roads!!! I saw your Lahore video in Pakistan, even the Walled City of Lahore doesn't have that cemented roads😅✌, no offense i'm just telling the truth✌😂✌!!! I love your interactions with the people there Myer, esp. with the ladies hehe. You know, some people don't like these places to be featured in vlogs, but i think it should be coz this is reality. It's important to show it too so as not to give a false impression that all places in PH are like Makati or BGC. Coz truth is, there's still a lot of poverty here. However, we are also among the fastest growing economies in the world now, so hoping things will improve in the coming years. Just need to say though that those kids asking for money (which i see a lot in other vloggers' videos too) is something that should really change - this culture of "begging" which starts from childhood. I am reminded of the famous comedienne here - Pokwang (Marietta in real life.) She and her family were dirt poor too but her parents did not allow her to beg on the streets. Instead, she sold Sampaguita garlands and Sweepstakes at a very young age. Wish that would be the mindset of most poor people here too. And btw, it's not just foreigners who experience that. I myself get asked by money by some kids whenever i pass by a street nearby where there's a section with informal settlers living.

These people are sush a nice people like they saying hello and they are open people no suspicious I know bro anywhere it has bad things but I haven't seen here worst I don't know as my country to be honest there are many thieves people the things always pushing you to be a thief is a poor if don't have what you feed and then you Ultimately decide to do whatever can you get something but you no happy about it at all
