6:00 Wirty-chan uwu nyaa nyaa: I have played this map more than anyone Also Wirty-chan uwu nyaa nyaa: I forgot how to play this map On point editing as always 😅
Downloaded on ps5...had never played a racing game before other than The Crew and NFS: Hot Pursuit...I am gonna have to pay, cause i Hate the maps 15-the end. I'm barely reaching top 100 in my STATE (I'm in Kansas in the US), barely getting top 300k on some maps overall. 25 maps, only 5 author medals, only 13 golds. I don't understand things like Ice physics, the hover boosts(I flip my car over on every turn), or the shifts from surface to surface, causing me to slam into walls. I spent 45 minutes on that "no brakes" section trying to not wall bang Once and I failed. A new level of respect to the players like Wirtual that make it look easy has been achieved.
I’m gonna have to try this mode some time. I just picked up the game but overall it’s really fun even just on the campaign mode while I’m learning the mechanics well
I still think that the Trackmania IP would be a great fit on the Switch. The colorful artstyle, along with the very community driven content AND the short gameplay loop (unless you're playing Endurance lol).
@@OrangeAveng3r I'm a developer myself, I don't think Nadeo could pull it off, but I do think you could create a good looking Trackmania game on the switch that runs in 60fps.
@@nash2935 "You're a beast at this game. Love it, good stuff & looking forward to enjoy my late night snack and thisone :D" I posted it in Norwegian because the video had been out for 4 mins when I sent it. Figured it was a chance Wirtual would take a look at the first few comments, so wrote it in Norwegian just in case.
About the switch sticks, it's the same in germany, you can send in and they have to repair them for free. I just did that and they are being repaired right now.
6:55 i'm so glad i'm not the only person who preemptively says ow when they are about to fuck up in a videogame yes that is my takeaway from this video
Saturday and Sunday I played ranked: got mvp every round, picked up some at’s, some rounds my entire team left and I clapped the other team, yet I’m only Bronze II. Insane
wirtual just wanted to say i've always been a part of the analogue keyboard gang and i just started playing trackmania, gonna learn the game with it (no custom action keys just like controller variable pressure yk yk)
wirty chan probably got made by either some other popular trackmania youtuber calling you that or the curse of having weared a maid costume as a guy or bouth at the same time
I just started playing the game because of wirtual after watching his videos for a while, decided to try a few games of ranked and obviously I’m in bronze. Lost every match to teams of players getting gold or author medal times 😓. Feels like people should be a little slower in the lowest rank but I guess that’s just the skill gap compared to a new player like me
Gold medals are extremely easy to get on the first 10 maps and shouldn't take longer than 2 hours even for a completely fresh face. But even if it takes you longer you'll improve with time and be able to keep up. A good rule of thumb is to have author times on the tracks you're able to play in ranked (except black tracks for those just get gold and learn to be consistant) and you'll be able to compete in most games
Yeah, it's not that popular of a mode to begin with, the game is like 15 years old if we count TMNF/TMUF, and most people are gonna go for golds/ATs solo before jumping into ranked. Driving safe gold medals is kinda enough to climb through silver but getting MVP regularly with AT/WR strats is way faster, so a lot of people learn the maps first then play ranked after.
@@missbelled6700 I did get all the gold medals on the maps before jumping into ranked, that was the first thing I did after downloading the game, took me a couple hours though. After that I did get a few author times, a couple of them on the ranked maps. It’s just crazy to me how everyone in the lobby can consistently drive those times every round, whereas I usually crash half the time and screw it up for my team, and the other half of the time I’m not usually matching my pb
@@cards1160 It's not that crazy, you've played the game for a few hours compared to hundreds and thousands of hours of racing games/tm. Consistent gold on each level of campaign track is a pretty good beginner goal to aim for.
Could somebody explain the map rotations to me for ranked? I've been playing it for the first time pretty much everyday since console release, around the same time every night for about an hour and just constantly get the same 3 maps until it changes and then I constantly get a different 3 map rotation, so is it a 3 map rotation that change every hour? Or is it the higher rank you get the harder maps you play? I'm only bronze 3 and haven't played any of the maps in this video so idk
My pc is very bad and when I try to run the newer track mania my pc glitches and makes it unplayable, but now it’s on my Xbox, I’m able to actually play it. Very cool.
I only played Trackmania Sunrise and lost "track" with all the games after that. But at least I know 1 thing: reduce airtime. I cant to any of the more skillfull tricks though.
the switch not being able to run trackmania is more of a nadeo diff than a problem with the switch hardware. they managed to make warframe work on switch for gods sake nadeo probably just doesnt want to optimize their spaghetti code
@SANDR especially when you play with a 3 stack and are in discord and can communicate then you play like grand league where you might have someone designated to safe and 2 designated to push for a 1 2 lock and having communication for if someone bonks than the other two can get the call out that they need to push the pace if you want to win the round
@SANDR meh I don't inherently disagree about solo but I wouldn't say an overwhelming amount of people play solo as it is anyway. In the lower ranks yes its more but even then a lot of duoing and as for the reasons I explained, the higher in the ranks you go the more that people actually trio and work as a team to win games.
If I went against Wirtual in my silver/gold game I would be annoyed but only because I couldn’t tell him that I’m a big fan because I don’t have club access
@Check that's a good question that I don't know. In trackmania 2020 though you do only need standard access to chat. And actually only just about a month ago or so before console launch Nadeo permanently opened up chat to all players even free ones
1:38-2:06 *sigh* look at this point I get it, people like Finland much more than Sweden, but three things (and none are pointed towards Wirtual): 1. This is the first time the televote did not beat the jury favorite. It's going to happen. Grow up. I do wish for a more diverse Jury, but I see why Sweden was much more liked than Finland. 2. Sweden got second in the televote. You guys also gave points to her. You can't just fully blame the jury. 186 points was an uncertain bar to clear, so even if the final score doesn't look as close as it was, the end of the show was at least exciting. It wasn't an obvious win once the televote started. 3. This one is slightly being told to Wirtual, but saying Sweden "robbing" Finland is stupid. Finland got second and won millions of hearts. That should be at least enough. Saying that Sweden won because of ABBA and Loreen is also really dumb because that is discrediting the people who worked on Tattoo, which includes Loreen herself. The song is great and Sweden definitely deserved the win for a great performance. Loreen is a professional and knows how to turn her songs into incredible successes. She knows how to hit you in the right place, and so much more. Overall, Sweden won and it was deserved, listen to Austria and give credit where it is due, celebrate Finland if you want, and stop spreading hate to Loreen and Sweden. Thank you. Edit: If it was meant as a joke sorry, I don't know what is a joke and not a joke.
Did you know there is a whole anime about that? Basic premise is a team that is about to be disqualified from races decide to sign the number 1 racing simulation player because they couldnt sign a decent driver. Unfortunately I dont remember the name but you can find the show with a quick google search
