I don't agree with people making comments basically saying that as long as you understood what someone was trying to say you don't need to correct them, which is what @reesophia7456 had basically replied to @rachelr.n.3563. I apologise if my comment sounded rude, English is not my first language which is why I believe it's important to correct others when they make mistakes, especially because people nowadays learn more on the internet than they do in school and their everyday life. I also make grammar and punctuation mistakes and I appreciate when people point out and correct my mistakes because it helps me learn to not make those same mistakes again. I think she might legitimately be psychotic. Not letting you record okay, but then having you hold the pallet, continuing even when she was done with it.....and then recording you..for a long time. That was intentional. To make you uncomfortable. From my POV.
I totally agree!!! She definitely recorded Julia at the end to make her feel uncomfortable! She didn't even ask her to record! And the pushing and pulling of Julia's head and face made me so upset!
I was getting irritated by just listening to the “makeup artist.” She’s was so unprofessional and rude. As for the Trade Secret…what the heck was so secret about applying blue shadow? You are so patient and kind Julia. I on the other hand wouldn’t have taken her crap. lol. Also, I want my experience to be relaxing and calming. Not to be told to hold a palette or to sit up. I could tell from the very beginning that she was rude. She said something to the effect of, “Lift up your chin.” and it was just rude. Plus, she recorded YOU without asking if it was ok first. I don’t know how you stay so calm. I also wonder if that Jaclyn Hill palette was real or a knock off.

What I don’t understand is why you are always telling these MUA‘s thank you so much I really like it, it’s really nice when she literally gave you a 5 o’clock shadow on your chin with that brown eyeshadow. Why didn’t you ask her if she was going to blend it or fix it or something? Also, if she didn’t want you filming her, you should’ve asked her well. If I can’t film you then why is it you think you can film my face for several minutes? That I didn’t understand either. I wish you would stand up for yourself when these people are this ridiculous. Due to her attitude, even if she was THE best MUA in the country, I would not go back, why would I. She clearly hates people and it would make me feel too uncomfortable to repeat the experience.
It is so strange to me that some of these artists are so concerned with someone “learning their trade secrets” it’s not like her income would be effected even if you were trying to learn how to do eyeshadow from videotaping her and especially from people watching online?? It’s not like her clients are being poached .. such a strange mindset to have

What drives me crazy about people like her is the fact that you ask to film before you even get there, like when you make the appointment correct? Like that once video where you threatened to get up & leave & then she was like oh no no no it’s fine.
They can say no to filming, and if the answer was a definitive no, i think you'd respect that. She was very very rude. There's no such thing as trade secrets anymore. Artists online share makeup tips and tricks constantly about makeup for different eyeshapes (almost none of these worst reviewed do anything with eyeshape in mind), the stripe of eyeshadow "contour" is not a trade secret. It was the green glitter lipstick for me - it looked like you had mold on your lips. I didn't rate her execution of it but the eyesahdow colour was ok. A bit heavy handed all round.
I really like the eyeshadow color, but the false lashes are two sizes to big. Can’t believe she cheated you out of a proper contour…😅Oops I had to add some more to this comment. Wowza! The highlighter technique was interesting…why add the green glitter lipstick like it’s for a sci-fi convention!!??😂Also, love the video ending with chatting in the big pink chair!❤❤

I’m not sure who she is going to show her videos to…potential clients? If I saw that on their website, I’d keep shopping around. The eyelashes are horrendous, the patchy, dirty “contour” lines…but then the lipstick. The eyeshadow is very nice, that turned out nice. The eyelashes look like she stripped a toilet brush and glued the strips onto Julia’s eyes. I had high hopes about the lipstick when I saw the color of the lip liner. I would comment on the attitude of the “MUA” and Julia having to work for free by being a table and a cameraman, but it seems everyone else has done that for me, lol ❤you, Julia. Thanks for going through all the abuse for your followers!

Her trade secrets....eye brows that aren't done, eye shadow down almost to the cheek bones, eye lashes that look like plastic fans, color correcting the whole face and then smearing it off, blobbing eyeshadow (contour) on the chin area and leaving it so it looks like dirt and using a green glitter gloss as a lipstick and not even covering the whole upper lip ... not sure what the trade was, but it can keep its secrets hahahaha

Agreed. I don't know why anyone would say anything about you filming in the comments. My opinion is as long as you ask them and tell them I want to film and they agree to it in the beginning before you get there I don't see a problem with it and if they decide to change their minds when you arrive too bad. Um that’s a no to the lipstick but overall it doesn’t look too bad. That shade of green eyeshadow looks good on you. Eyelashes are a bit too big. The look isn’t too bad. Definitely seen worse on you.

As a makeup artist, it’s true we don’t want our work seen during the process unless we give full permission. However, if she was ok with being filmed, no problem and she should not be so rude! I found it so hard to watch this knowing you were also uncomfortable.. big hugs. Making you hold that palette the whole time was just flat out rude. That said, I like the eye colors - very peacock-esque. The lip stuff definitely needed a full cover base. I don't get why people use pink tones on cheeks when the eye is more earthy color. Lashes way too big for my liking.
