You did the absolute right thing to shame that bloke into releasing that Cod! That’s the attitude as to why it’s been necessary to protect our native fish stocks. You did well with your own catch and releases. 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice video Will, I’ve been hanging out for you to upload again but good to see you back at it. They were some nice fish. I 100% wrekon that bloke was gonna keep that cod if you weren’t there. I would have swam over the river just to give him a piece of my mind 😂
😂I had thought about it. Thanks mate, hopefully a bit more regular soon with the vids. My health has not been the best with my shoulders etc .. we will get there though . Thanlyou
Unfortunately there are still people out there who will continue to target cod out of season and it will only get to the stage where no fishing will be allowed In any rivers during cod season.
that flog definitely wanted to keep that cod, regardless if it’s open or closed season i think they should be blue ribbon rivers and streams where it’s strictly catch and release. i don’t know why people even keep them i’ve tried one once when i was 13 and it tasted absolutely shit house
There’s always one 😂 I don’t mind people taking a feed if done right but I agree with you on the taste, I like it , I don’t love it . but I only keep a golden perch now and then.
@@whistlingwillysfishing8992 i agree if your within the regulations go ahead, and i’ll only keep a yella if they take the lure to deep and i do damge to the gills much rather a good feed reddies but 👌🏼 good form for calling him out mate i always enjoy watching your videos and kenny mates class you as the yella king 👑
Awesome work once again Willy, these sure do make my day! Absolutely sensational fisherman u are! How u going? Hope ur doing well! Keep up the amazing work! Tight lines brotha! 🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙
Mate you are doing it hard with a backpack with bursis in both shoulders, maybe look at a bumbag or webbing (yeah ex military) but they carry alot better. Edit, also love the channel, amazing the fish you catch with your own lures!
Nice Yella to start off the video. Good stuff mate, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself either, we all know what he was thinking... I'm just glad you were there mate, you most definitely saved that Murray cod's life in my opinion. Good to see you show how it should be done, straight after that incident, definitely a big one at the end there and like you said mate "it doesn't matter if they get off this time of year" 👍
@@whistlingwillysfishing8992 unfortunately I haven't managed to head out for yellowbelly yet, so I'm thinking I might have to break one in, with a Bass somewhere local for now 👍 Most people don't throw lures that big for bass but in my opinion a bass will take anything, I've had a few take a 200mm surface snake...
Nice one Willy. I thought we were about to see how far you can throw a rock. Be nice to give him the human equivalent and leave him lying with half his face in the mud for 10minutes. Maybe with a size 10 boot in the middle of his back 🙂 I don't get it, I'd rather a Bunnings snag. Some nice fish there, as usual Will. Keep on whistling mate. Cheers PP
Me and dad throw quite a bit of bait on the other side no good with lures I’ve always tried at the other side with them to whenever we camp at the sand bank and I drive my kayak round there can’t seem to get one there though any tips
@@whistlingwillysfishing8992 yea I’ve got fish on ac and oargees and what not I just can never seem to even get a touch there was pretty high the other day though picked up 2 little yellas and a 60 cod on worms
yea mate seen same thing up at copeton dam people caught cod in a boat and took back to shore to showfam keep it out water to long and went to release it was to late f idoits and it was big
Way to go mate with the fish and calling old mate out, cant believe people can still be so arrogant and entitled enough to think they can take fish at anytime of the year.
What is the best lure for cod I am going out on cod opening BTW if I was that guy I wouldn't have got a picture and let it suffer on the rod for half an hour
