Go listen to the Leroy Sanchez version if you want a male cover, even this sounds too much like Whitney's version to me, Leroy strips it down to just the acoustic and is more akin to the original, enjoy!

@@rockywaters9592 I just listened to it, and it's too stripped down to the point where it's almost powerless. This guy version brings a raspy masculine voice but keeping the essence and power of the song. I kinda like this one better.

@@krazyahhed the original is stripped down though, it wasn't until Whitney turned it into a power ballad that everyone started to treat a simple heartbreak song into vocal theatre. But hey ho! horses for courses, we all have our own preferences and that's cool, all the best.

@@rockywaters9592 I'm aware of the original version that Dolly wrote for Porter when leaving their show, and I think it's great. But the singularity I was referring to was the belting and vocal performance in general, which in fact, is akin to Whitney's version, it just do it for me (personally). I'm gonna listening to the boyce avenue cover, good suggestion.
