The best reggae I've heard since Lucky Dube. The saxophone 🎷 player feels the music. The bass line is compact. The drums crack up like the sound of a gun. The drummer has an inbuilt beat machine inside his body. The keys 🔑 unlock the musical class to a different realm. The backup singers are a breathe of fresh air to PNG and Pacific music's failed computerized singers since the early 2000's. They remind of Lucky Dube's own One People Band. The legend, the man himself, Anslom Nakikus is a genius at work. He knows exactly what he wants for this magical piece. He's an orchestrator. His voice will stir the deepest emotions from your body. His entertaining, on-stage personality is likely to get you dancing to the music. His lyrics resonate with almost anyone's experience or that of someone you know. His thoughts are crafted so well in English for the wider world audience that's been following him since the 2010's. He knows how to pen his story in a captivating way. Anslom is the reggae artist we need. The only other secular artist who is of his caliber in Papua New Guinea is Patti Potts Doi. Two of the best musicians alive today in the Pacific.
