My pleasure! Thanks so much for running a great family owned business with an awesome product line. God bless you and all the folks at Keystone Meats! 🙏
I ordered 12 can case of Keystone pork directly from keystone. 4 cans were dented/ crushed when delivered. I messaged the company and the President answered. He replaced the entire order with no question. I am a steady customer
That's truly great to hear! This is also why I order directly through them. Great people who stand by a quality product! 😁👍 Thanks so much for sharing your experience with Keystone. 🙏
I'm glad you clarified that. I heard Tyson was involved in Keystone but didn't realize they were different countries. I'm no longer buying Tyson anything.
Thanks so much for this video, I was told by a family friend that Tyson had bought keystone meats and I was horrified, so so glad they were wrong. I shared this with several folks! ❤
I am so glad you did this video ,I wasn't gonna buy anymore because of the confusion, glad we got that straightened out now I can tell my friends buy there meats and I'll be putting in another order thank you
I live in the Lima area. We have been buying Keystone canned meat for as long as I can remember. It is a staple in our home. I probably have around 15 cans of beef, chicken, and pork right now waiting to be added to a meal. Never had an issue with quality. And I never hesitate to grab an extra can while I'm at the store. You want prep food or just good food to ride out a winter storm? Can of Keystone meat, some egg noodles, broth, and some seasoning. Ready in no time, and you will definitely want seconds.
Great video! I hadn't heard that people were saying that Keystone Meats was bought by Tyson, but then again, we live in Western Pa near the Ohio line and are very familiar with the company. We have been enjoying Keystone meats for about 15 - 20 years. We love the quality. You can call the company anytime with questions and they are happy to answer them.
@kymberlilittlejohnwhite6603 That it was, but I tried to come up with something that would grab attention so that the message would reach far beyond something like "Keystone is the best canned meat" or something a long those lines. I was truly surprised when Keystones V.P. reached out to me to thank me personally for the video, as he said it was very helpful and thorough.
Got 8 more cans of Keystone meats this week. Ordered from Wal-Mart. Don't understand why our area Wal-Mart doesn't have it on the shelf but stocks it in their distribution center? 🤔
Our Florida WalMarts do not carry Keystone meats on the shelf either. Seems stupid to sell them from distribution center but not store. They are expensive
Thanks for the clarification. I recently heard about Keystone meats and was wanting to buy some to keep on hand . I was concerned about where their meat comes from, but it looks like locally sourced from the USA. So now I will be on the hunt for some of their products.
Wooh, I was worried 😅 this was a very, very informative video. Shared with everyone in my circle. There is so much misinformation out in the either. Thanks so much, Grey! ❤
The thumbnail is definitely an eye catcher, lol 😆 Thanks so much, I'm really hoping folks find this helpful and share it out with others. Keystone Meats is such a great company with a great product line. 😊
@potatoheaad I figured it would be a great way to grab folks' attention, lol 😆 I guarantee you some folks will still not get it. I'm really hoping this sends it home that Keystone Meats is a great company and is not Keystone Foods who is owned by Tyson.
Thank you for standing up for Keystone Meats. I have found them to be very good and ready to serve anytime. Just heat and serve, what could be better than quality meat like Keystone!
If my memory is accurate i think you explained this on one of your other videos. Yes Grey i listen to your words during your videos. Thank you for saying this again. God Bless you 🙏❤️🙏
You got me with that thumb nail opener. I never heard any of the rumors that you mentioned. Thanks for the clarity. I've been buying keystone now for a while , because it's cheaper than it used to be. I also buy it for my preps. This is an important video. Will be sending it to the chief editor of a prepping web site that I frequent, unless they've already posted it. 😎
That's very kind of you. The vice president of Keystone reached out to me to say thank you for posting this. I was shocked, very awesome folks over at Keystone Meats. I told them that I truly respected their company and loved what they offered the prepared community. This is why I made the video. Have a blessed evening. 🙏🇺🇲
Appreciate this Grey..Very Helpful. If I See some..Will purchase it.Never aty Wal mart as of Late..Maybe a while back..None available recently! Lord's Blessings To you & Your Family..& All on the Channel.from the Foothills of the Olympics WA 🏔️❤🕊️❤
Thank you for clearing this up . I remember seeing that video. I was one of your subscribers who questioned this and you were kind of enough to explain it. Really enjoy your channel🙂
💯 Good information! OHIO my state...this is about 20 miles from me. Fun Fact..Keystone meats suplies to the local Kewpie Restaurants...Fresh beef patties always. Thank You GreyMan Prepping
I have watched the video before and was in a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market today and found the Keystone Meat. I purchased a can of chicken for my prepping supply. I was thinking I had bought the wrong brand, but was able to watch your video again and find that I had got the brand you recommend. Whew!! Thank you for sharing this video!!!
Thanks, Grey! I appreciate your clarifying the name of the dodgy food company. I've placed my first order for Keystone Meats; a friend received the order for me. I'm waiting for that package to be delivered to me. The processing and original shipping happened in a few days. I'm looking forward to trying the Keystone Meats' products.
I am from Lima(like the bean, not Lima Peru) and purchased meat from his grand father at Pride of Lima. I went to school with his father Dave. Keystone Meats has great custom cut meats and they make a great bologna. A great place to buy your meats.
Thanks for clearing this up! I've gotten Keystone canned meats home delivered through Wally World a few times, and it's very good! Unfortunately, I am currently recovering from several health issues in a nursing home and had to give up my handicapped accessible apartment, so right now, I don't have my own kitchen. In planning ahead for when I can leave here, I did look into assisted living places, but I wouldn't have my own kitchen facilities. Everyone in those places have to eat in a cafeteria and at set times. I want to go back to the apartment complex where I was living before I got ill, so that I can have my own kitchen again. I was also eating healthier on my own. Some of the foods here aren't healthy, but if I skip them, I end up being too hungry. The staff are nice, but I want to go home.
Thank you so much for clarifying this for the public! I had heard bad things about Keystone Foods and, of course, because the name, thought Keystone Meats was the same company. I have tried Keystone Meats and absolutely love their product!! I never miss a chance to stock up every time i go to the lower 48.
I seen "Keystone" on your title, got a little worried since I have bought a few cans of Keystone meats for my prepper pantry! Thank you for this information!!
Very glad you clarified this. I hadn't heard of Keystone Foods and never knowingly buy Tyson. I stock Keystone Meats. Some from the company and some from WM near me that began carrying it in the store last year.
You had me worried there for a minute. Keystone meats are the basis of my canned meat preps. My recipes are made for those 28 ounce cans. Glad you cleared that up. I already knew the difference. Thank you. ❤️👍🇺🇲 FJB
Thank you. I have used these meats, and after reading something about Tyson I thought it was bad. Thank you for clarification, and I know it's a good product for our future needs.
You are so welcome, Tyson has really gone off the rails, like many other companies. I was so disappointed when I heard about braggs Apple cider vinegar.
I tried the beef for the 1st time trying Keystone, I was so impressed, also they are cheaper then some of the other which are like $35 a can, this one I believe was like $9.00 . Just went to the Keystone site and gonna order 12 cans of diff meat and 12 jars of the beff and chicken bullion for $148 now thats what Im talking about. Got the others from Walmart but since you mentioned the site I went there. Thanks for the info.
If I don't use the juices/broth from the can for cooking in the meal I'm making, I save it for soups. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze. I replace the broth packet from ramen with the broth from the can and add water as needed. Salt to taste at the table.
I'm glad yoh took the time to explain this! I planned on ordering some meat but heard they were part of Tyson WHICH I DISLIKE AND WILL NOT BUY! SO THANK YOH VERY MUCH FOR CLARITY🙏❤
Thank you for clarifying I am putting together hurricane season supplies for my family members and keystone is a large part of this year’s disaster totes
You scared the hell out of me. Glad Keystone Meats is not owned by Tyson. FYI, Lima is pronounced like the lima bean. Lima Ohio is about an hour from me but what's even closer is Grabill Meats. A can of Grabill Meats Beef Chunks and a package of Essenhaus Noodles (both from northern Indiana) and you'll have the best beef and noodles. Add some instant mashed potatoes, and you'll be in prepper heaven.
@GreyManPrepping I was a single dad that raised 4 boys on beef and noodles. Don't stir the noodles too much or they will break apart. Add a half stick of butter to the noodles after you drain them. I buy mine at Meijer grocery here in Indiana but you can buy online.
Awesome video brother, thank you for doing the leg work and sharing this everyone. I kept hearing the same info, so glad it was not true. FYI love the thumbnail lol definitely an attention grabber! 😂
@@GreyManPrepping I know when I looked it it,it took several different search engines to weed out the facts. It's shouldn't be like this. Especially if you do not have actual product can for address etc.
I buy one or two cans of Keystone meats every time I grocery shop. I buy the beef or the ground beef, usually one of each and put them in my pantry. I check the cans for dents and I even gave one to my son to try out. They are good and would supply a tasty form of protein in an emergency. Easy to prepare and are very versatile. Pricey but with a really good shelf life, good taste and important to me good texture. 👍❤️
Yeah, I truly understand that. lol 😆 I tried to make sure I underlined the word foods in the thumbnail and use the word foods in the title vs. Meats. The "X" on the can was to get folks' attention and to ask why. Just to add some context to my thought process. Anyways, I agree, and I hope this information spreads as much as youtube will let. Thanks so much for watching. 🙏
I've been buying keystone for years. Long before they started putting best buy dates on their cans. They used to have a code which showed the date of manufacture. I called them back then. Their meat is canned for long term storage, and us of very good quality
There is a keystone butcher shop in my town. Fresh and canned. Frozen items from school pizzas , fish and variety meat and steak packs. Fresh meats. I go in and buy by the case. Started 1 case a month and expanded. My pantry is sitting well. I’m very satisfied with this store.
Would have loved to see the video on how keystone meats are produced however when I clicked on the link it said it’s not available in my country. Welcome to Canada 🤦🏽♀️
That's truly a shame. I have found another link to someone who posted a cropped version of it. It looks like the exact video I posted but cropped a bit. Hopefully, this will work for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-83yjNZy9zHU.htmlsi=4ucAMCpsvOhAp869
Hey GreyMan, glad you clarified this. I actually live near the company. I've shopped at their retail store at their location in Lima (prounounced like Lima Bean, not Lima Peru, lol) for years. My parents shopped there also. They have the butcher shop in the store where you can buy fresh meat also, as well as their canned products. They also make some of their own deli products, like Bologna( the best old fashioned type) and Ham Salad/Sandwich spread. I don't eat that stuff much but theirs is really good. They are involved in the fair when the kids showing their livestock sell them, they buy from them also to support the junior fair. Also, we have a local hamburger chain called Kewpee that gets their meat from Keystone. The meat comes in daily, the cooks grind it fresh and make the burgers right there in their kitchen. Their burgers are so much better than McDonald's or those other places. Just a little extra info for you. ❤
@cascade19 I've searched all my Walmarts here locally and haven't found it except online, but they usually arrived dented, so now I only order direct as they will replace any dented cans during shipping.
@@GreyManPrepping, I can say it's snapped up quickly here, and no issues with dented cans at my Walmart. I did notice Walmart was only cents cheaper than Keystone's website, not sure if they charge additional for shipping though. Their meat was just as good as my own canned hamburger.
Thank you for clarifying, I'm glad I watched because initially, because is the title, i almost made a decision to just never buy Keystone meats again. However, because I've watched your other videos, I was intrigues. Maybe you edit it to say Keystone foods ..NOT the meats? Just a thought.
My pleasure and yes, Keystone Foods is underlined in the thumbnail and I put foods in the title hoping folks would notice the play on words, the "X" on the cans was to draw in why factor. Regardless, I really appreciate the support, and thank you for watching 🙏
Thank you for sharing this with us. I was afraid we my husband and I would have to quit buying the meats! We try to buy 6 to 12 cans at a time we’re on SS and can’t afford to buy more but that will feed us for about one month! And no I’m not asking anyone to send us any we don’t have room in our house to have a pantry!
