Every single day that seriously injured children are kept in Gaza to suffer, when medical care outside of Gaza is available and has been offered, my heart breaks more and more. Not just for the children, but also for our Nation and what we have become. I always believed that we were the good guys, that we would be running to the aid of the oppressed and afflicted, that we would be the ones airlifting seriously injured children out of a war zones or after natural disasters. And I've waited and waited and waited and waited, only to conclude at this point, I was wrong. This Nation isn't what I thought it was at all when I voluntarily enlisted in the USAF to serve it. Perhaps it was then, perhaps it never was, but this I know now, it's not.
