Good job mate, hopefully they'll build up now ready for a summer honey flow. We gave our hives a late winter feed and they're booming at the moment. We also had issues with chalk brood a few years back - hives were absolutely riddled with it. We started using screened bottom boards and its completely disappeared which is great, so that might be wortg investigating if it persists.

Thanks. Good advice. I’ve got a couple of screened bottom boards.

I put cut up milk jug pieces in my ladders to keep the bees from dying . You could do the same on open feeders . I usualy have absolutely no deaths in my 8 feeders . I tried a few different methods but thelarge chips around 3/4 "circles and smaller odd shapes work best

I don’t understand why you need to feed. I’m not far from you and my hives have huge honey stores. I harvest 13kg from one the other day.
