sorry about the thumbnail but my photoshop subscription literally ended today and i have to sign up again. xenoblade x can't wait LMAO edit: also please try not to spoil anything in the comments if possible!
Unrelated to your comment here. I just want to address something you said in the video. This game is considered non-canon to the numbered games. Still a good game though.
So many characters have their own storylines that progress with Story/Mission/Survey completion too. Some even serve as precursors to sidequests that have yet to become available (someone might mention a future deployment or let something slip about their personal affairs). Even info bubble NPC's can have arcs. There is a guy trying to get the woman on a balcony (Ishmael Hills at night) to accept his proposal, only to be told that she won't accept until he surveys x% of y. If you complete this the dialogue updates, and will continue if you proceed in the same manner. There are so many more like this, and that isn't even one of the best ones.
Not arguable, the sidequests ARE X's story. They're like episodes of a sci fi anthology series, like Star Trek or Babylon 5, that weave together to tell a greater story about building a new civilization.
I cannot stress this enough about XCX: NEVER ADVANCE THE MAIN STORY WHEN THERE ARE SIDEQUESTS AVAILABLE. This game's story lives in its sidequests, that's where you see the character development and worldbuilding and the most interesting subplots.
Except in the case where you can start a sidequest at Lv.10, but then need to be Lv.50 to continue or finish it. Then go ahead and start it, and try not to forget that you're still doing that sidequest by the time you reach Lv. 50, 10 chapters later.
I think a very important thing is to not expect this to be like the other Xenoblade games. It's quite different and it made some people feel a little cheated when it came out originally, which probably affected their enjoyment of it. It's much lighter on the main story and more heavy on the exploration. But even though there were some things I felt could have been better, I mostly loved it. I don't remember exactly, but I know I played it for several hundred hours. So I'm really looking forward to playing it again now, and to see what they have done with it.
@@theAmazingJunkman Ghost Factory is one of the best signature arts in the game and Shadowstrike is one of only two ground gear stagger arts. Ghost factory is also the best way to put Decoy onto Skells. Her skill options include a lot of useful tools like Phantom Counter, Hellhound, Mortal Enemy, etc. Outside of the Superior Stand man, she might be the best non Cross party member.
Xenoblade X is very much a different game than the other Xenoblade games. 1. Exploration is 70% of the game. Explore and uncover secrets and unique areas of the world 2. Do Side quests BEFORE progressing Story quests, you don't have to 100% the game but the more side quests you do the better. 3. The story is not spoon-fed to you like the other Xenoblades. Unlike Xenoblade 1-3 which tells a concise narrative. Xenoblade X tells it's story in parts/missions. Unlike many JRPGs you're not necessarily being told the story, you're literally discovering it. Take Notes, You'll need it 👍 4. You'll understand soon enough why it's called New LA lmao the planet they're on is called something else 😌
If you like theorizing, you will absolutely love this game. I highly recommend doing all the side quests as you go, see how many mysteries you can work out before/if they are revealed.
Hearing the theorizing really hurt my brain as someone with like 2k hours on the original X. I really envy those going into this blind, getting to experience it all over again is something I’ll never have now, the crack pot theories definitely made that hit home. At least the cliffhanger ending promises to be resolved, based on the trailer, very excited for that. There were like 14 party members in the original btw. Doubt they’ll add more but it’s possible, certainly there’s one character in the game that would’ve been really cool to recruit later, but maybe that’s the suspension bridge effect from replaying the time attack mission so many times to get UF Slayer XX augments.
me planning out my March 2025 with Suikoden releasing only for Monolith to come in yet again with a Xeno title and messing up my plans. I can't wait to jump into this one as well.
"Title" "Broken Glass coming off of the lettering" Close enough , its shrapnels from when the bullets hit the letters. Its super nice to see someone new to X coming up with their own ideas. ^^ The only thing without spoilers that i can tell you , is that i hope you love Side content , cuz thats where the best parts of this game are , not in the Main Plot.
I will definitely look forward to your playthrough! I love how you get into the stories, take notes and theorize and this game is prime material for theories! I'm very curious about the new story stuff they're adding.
SO.... Xenoblade Chronicles X is hands down one of my FAVOURITE games of all time, and I've been a fan since the original Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii. The only thing is here, that you REALLY need to manage your expectations of the game if you're a fan of the numbered trilogy. Xenoblade X is... "different". It's still very a Xenoblade game through and through, but compared to the others, it doesn't have as big of a focus on the story or character arcs. To fully appreciate Xenoblade X, you really gotta go in and immerse yourself in the world. Do lots of side quests to get that extra lore content. Get acquainted with all the potential party members and max out affinity to grow your love for everyone's personal stories. But most of all... EXPLORE that world. It's hands down one of THE most breath-taking Open World games out there due to the environments, and I cannot wait to lose myself in this game for hundreds of hours more simply by running all over the place again.
For anyone interested at all, the music thats playing in the trailer is "Theme X" from the Xenoblade X OST. It it is just a masterpiece and utterly phenomenal. That said, I never owned a wii u and I too was thinking that it would be lost forever. As of now, I think all the Xenoblade games are slated for the Switch ecosystem.
I would imagine that it’s possible this is a “Philadelphia” Class ship mentioned on the during the news broadcast on the radio in the X3 DLC… (Looking over the horizon) “Rex, is that what I think it is?”
I am so ready for this I have played at least 300+ hours in this game from playing the story all the way to the end twice. And this time I can do the Nemisis fights, and I will play with a friend at the same time to explain mechanics in the game. Because god damn did I have to read that manual that comes with the DVD a lot. But who else existed for more probably more post game content?
Lmao the first thing I also noticed was that she looks so much like Alvis. Even in the original she had kind of a passing similarity to him but they really ramped it up here 😂
Keep in mind this game is not story focused, Xenoblade X is more like mmo social game where you do objectives and side quest while exploring the open world. The main story is nothing like Xenoblade 1-3.
I have 380+ hrs in XCX. Its my favorite of all the Xenoblade games. Do not skip out on the side story quests. Watch tutorials on Ether Blossom Dance build.
been playing xcx in cemu 4k@60 fps since 2020, i love it one of my favorite game and i cant un install it, i dont want to finish it, whenever im down low i come to mira just get lost in that world. plus ost is made by kami no sawano. 300 is nothing im on my 563 days
X is my all time favorite video game I’m disinterested with the other xenoblades they didn’t grab my attention like x did in-fact no game has not to X’s degree the closest game that has kept me inthralled like X is xenoverse 2 but even that is leagues below Xenoblade X mainly because X has a little bit of every game genre and it does every little bit well like I can have a favorite game for each genre but even if I put them all together X is still better i mean the soundtrack alone is the best in gaming history. I know I’m glazing it up like crazy but it’s a good to great game if you haven’t played it yet give it a try you’ll either like it or love it there is no hate. It’s literally the only game I gave a 9.9/10 my one problem with it is that MINER SPOILER an antagonist starts as an ally and your forced to level them up to progress the story making hard to run the story over leveled.
I'm glad you're going to get the chance to enjoy this game not to spoil anything for you but the character shown have no connection at all to the Trinity processor. With the maybe possible exception being the new story content added with the guy in the black hoodie. That might be One of the 3 Of the Trinity processor probably alvic but malos is not a far bet off considering the voice actor. As for the game this game came out long before future connected. And originally had no ties at all to the numbered xenoblade series it was a standalone game. After 2 we started making all kinds of fan theories and Head cannons about its placement in the series. But until this game there was no definite connection but now there might be
Expectation management. This is a Xenoblade Chronicles game, but it isn't a Xenoblade Chronicles game. This is how Monolith re-invented open world exploration for Nintendo which led to Zelda BotW. It's like only 15% as much story as in numbered XBC games. But its an AMAZING game, the longer you play it (a bit like: you need to play XBC2 for 50h to unlook all the fun gaming mechanics, but its quite simplistic at the beginning)
@@granddaddyotaku636 I don't think FR is connected to this, if another xeno is possible. But maybe Monolith change the story to fit with every Xeno's just like xbc1 and 2
I haven't played X but I think it doesn't happen in the same continuity, right? Someone correct me if I am wrong please. But I think there's no Klaus here. Klaus kinda destroyed the earth and this time the earth has already being destroyed, right? Isn't earth that planet being bombed in the video? I am so confused XD, and I really want to play this.
