If you think you've got a beat on this group? You don't! I L.O.V.E.D. this song! Leave a like, comment, and subsribe. (I do not own the rights to this music)
Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci (Bass) has a sight where he explains his voice. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sVGFTMb_3ns.html He considers himself a baritone with a bass range. Here are a couple of links to two of their latest selections I think you might enjoy. First is "Can't help falling in love", ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-786-XvOK8rM.html then "Warriors" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DNh6_XubM2A.html Sorry about the popup ads. Hope you enjoy them.
I believe this performance was made with social distancing, where each member recorded alone in the studio. Then, the voices and videos were mixed to show them as a group. That allowed for the showing of mixed members of one, two, or however many at a time. They also showed snippets of single members and combinations of the group on the cover of "Lost in Japan" before the social distancing was necessary.
With Voiceplay: I recommend It Ain't Me, Any Way You Want It, Sh-Boom (Life Could Be A Dream), Tennessee Whiskey, I Will Survive, Boy Bands In 5 Minutes, or Can't Help Falling In Love!!!
Yea if u wanna see geoffs higher notes hes got an awesome run in queen in 5 min. If u wanna see some more insane isolated bass parts a lot of people miss it aint me as well as death of a bachelor. Good high stuff in both of those songs as well. Nice reaction!
If you really want to appreciate Geoff's low notes, see Sixteen Tons. For his upper range, see Blackbird or Headless Horseman. You've already seen Oogie Boogie, which shows off his vocal agility (the ability to jump back and forth between high and low like it's nothing). For a real good upward run, see If I Were a Rich Man. For a killer downward slide, see Little Mermaid. And if you want to see the sense of humor come out and play, see We Don't Talk About Bruno. This one does a good job of showing off Earl (the bearded countertenor), or also see Queen in 5 Minutes, Boy Bands in Five Minutes. To see his character voice acting abilities, see This is Halloween and also Moana. Eli (bald tenor) is amazing in general, but particularly see Hoist the Colours, Queen in 5 Minutes, Carry on Wayward Son. To see J-None really shine, see Friends on the Other Side. Layne's beat boxing is in almost every song they do; to see him sing, see Little Mermaid, You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch, or We Don't Talk About Bruno. To see him playing violin, see Warriors. Oh, and he does a cool rap-like part in Moana. Oh, and if you want to see Geoff with short hair, Earl without the beard, etc., go back and check out the really old stuff, like Phantom of the Opera, First Noel, etc. (There was also another member back then, named Tony; he's the one with the white mask in Phantom.)
So Glad you are enjoying more Voiceplay. Question..Whos your favourite member? ;) they refer to Earl as tenor 1 and Eli as tenor 2 but they interchange. J None (the Bartone) joined about 2 years ago, their older videos is a guy called Tony. You should check out some of the Live stuff as well as their Billie Ellish, Panic at the disco Mashup. too be fair just watch them all! I know us Voiceplay fans would watch them all hahaha
I'll have to react to a lot more Voiceplay before I can answer that. :) It would be unfair to answer that when I haven't fully expanded my horizon and listened to everyone's vocal ranges yet. Lol.
Thanks for the suggestion! I plan on using both. I am using my speakers and my phone as of current because my kids and dog broke both my headphones, and my webcam during quarantine. I have ordered new ones, but everyone is so backed up that it will take a couple of weeks... Hence the reason I am using speakers and you cannot see the video like you can with all other reactors. Lol.
