Here is a review of the Day41 by Code 41, one of the most transparent brands out there. They tell you all: origin of all components, price, margin... .

The watch industry is very shady, most watch brands do not tell you who design their watches, where the materials come from, who manufacture them, etc., and I feel glad to see that this is slowly starting to change. Code 41, Möels and Co. and some other new brands are fully transparent when it comes to their supply chain and pricing policy putting major brands to shame.

Totally, this transparency is much needed in the industry. People also need to know the truth about labels, especially in this time where they are such a sale argument

I'm not a fan of skeletonized dials - but as they go, this is quite nice. Thank you for sharing.

Sometimes so original or radical designs lose the connection with beauty, but in this case have them both.

That's a good looking watch. It's very unusual how they used a 21mm rubber strap with those spacers.

I've seen these online a couple of times. I don't know why but somehow I always thought they would be very large. 40 mm actually isn't too bad.

Yes the 40mm is perfect on my 7 inch wrist, and in any case they have the 37mm 😁

Good review! I assume the company is claiming the watch cost around $430 to manufacture? Then, the consumer is going to pay $1500 for the watch? No thanks. Great business model for them. I would say that this watch is not worth $1500. $800 would be a stretch.

Sternglas does something similiar. They also explain their whole vallue chain. Which I really appreciate. Honestly I have no problif some parts or manufacture services does come from China. Everything depends on the price.

Totally, in fact I don't know of any manufactured product that doesn't have a more or less big part manufactured in China
