Omg the syngoinium tricolor!! That makes so much sense to me i have never bought one as the photos rarely had white or updated photos never were as bright .i am so glad you showed a clear picture explaining the inconsistency.
Exactly! I was trying to find one that got more than two leaves for ages and never found any pictures with mature full plants. I gave up on finding one months ago and now I'm glad I did.
The variegation on them is also inconsistent. Some of the leaves it produces have no pink at all. Others are all pink and everywhere in between. I feel sellers should make buyers aware of that. It’s such an expensive plant.
I kind of like that the paraiso Verde is temperature dependant, you can 'customize' it! I don't usually like house plants.. But I might need one of these!
What temperature have you found that works for your paraiso verde? I have one that’s been putting out green leaves for a while and haven’t quite figured it out yet😅
The hotter it is the more verigated it is. The verigation for that specific plant is caused by a harmless virus. The virus isn't active in cooler temps. The warmer it it The more active, thus the more verigated the new leaves are.
Supposedly they gade because of insufficient light brightness compared to how they started, not because they are old. Something is missing from their original ("blissful") situation... so feel not betrayed dear one, and NEVER GIVE UP!
Some of the variegated plants are very pricey and most wash out as they age. I don’t like them. All my plants are very dark. Black Majesty, , Bloody Mary and Dark Lord.
