I would only add that there's a limit to how many items you can let sit on the ground before you make the trip to gather them up. Go past that, and it'll keep deleting drops off the ground to make room for the new stuff
Good tip… I am not sure what the limit is if someone knows, please let us know… I do wish I would have mentioned that, so thank you so much… I usually will gather mine when I have about 25 or 30 on the ground
Very true. I noticed us what I was fighting a guardian stalker. That became a quick nightmare scenario. Because to Yiga showed up and 6 stal monsters. By the time I went to pick up the parts from the guardian they were gone. I was able to determine that the limit is 3. What I mean by that is if we take down three enemies we can get the parts from all three. Hippie takedown for enemies the items from the first one will disappear.
@Old Guy Stuff - Busy Corner Lane I don’t know if the parts disappear unless you leave the area referring to you having that many enemies around you dropping parts, I think it has to do with leaving the area 🤷♀️ I have killed lots in a close vicinity, and they all seem to drop their parts, but now I have been chased by a stalker and almost had the same scenario with stal monsters and by the time I ran back, I think I had gotten too far away🤷♀️
I only started playing this game a couple weeks ago. I had no idea Dragons were even in the game, so you can imagine my excitment/terror the first time I saw one while desperately running from a Lynel.
Yes, the dragons are absolutely fascinating… but when you are tired of running from Lynels check this video out … this is literally how I taught myself to kill a Lynel… just get in their face and practice you will get it… Hope this helps… And thank you for watching! BOTW is my first game ever to play in my life. I have been playing on and off for six months and I am still running away from a Lynel. I don’t get as nervous when I see guardians but a Lynel… I am not ready.
@@hunterbutter3834 when you are ready, if you would like to check out this video, I show you exactly how I taught myself to kill a Lynel…I hope this helps! How to Defeat A Lynel in Breath of The Wild Learn the Basics and It’s Easy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WBko25DwWhw.html
I can’t even believe you said that I grew up playing soccer… I was a half back and a goalie … I actually played on the Oak Ridge Allstars… I love soccer!… Thank you so much for watching!
The dragons are absolutely glorious. I often find myself standing and admiring as much as possibly. Farosh at night going over the waterfalls lighting up the place is a sight to behold
Regarding the Rubber Armor, I should clear up common misconception. The “unshockable” set bonus is actually a mistranslation. You are already unshockable when you wear all 3 pieces. The set bonus just makes you invulnerable to lightning.
Recently i was gliding around the Gerudo highlands and all of a sudden the music got really pretty, and I started to rise from an updraft. I looked above me, and Farosh was flying the same path as me, it was a really cool moment, the dragons make me feel like im witnessing something magical. Theres nothing like flying alongside the embodiment of the lightening (Theres a small chance it was the red one, but either way it was an epic experience)
first time i got myself up to shoot a dragon, I shot the horn. dont recall why i thought the horn woud be special but i know i put a lot of work into hitting the horn. I then assumed you only got scales from them and stopped trying to aim for anything specific. imagine my surprise when i got another piece eventually
I think the very first shot you take no matter where you hit them will produce a scale … then after that it is part specific, maybe not sure someone correct me if I’m wrong 🤷♀️
First time I saw a dragon which wss farosh, I was in awe. I didn't know if I could interact with it and I was just too amazed by it to even move, then I learned you could farm resources from them.
This was me! I saw him on the bridge over Lake Hyrule and I just stood there staring at him and taking as many pictures as I could. I didn't realize until the Naydra quest that you could get parts from them!
Same. You can vaguely see him from the Great Plateau. I was so shocked to see a dragon while I was using the Slate to zoom into the distance when I first started. I was both amazed and afraid that I would have to fight something that big.
i'm pretty familiar with dragons, but had to watch the whole video just because you have the sweetest voice and way of speaking. i could listen to you talking for hours, no joke! (and the video was amazing too!)
I am absolutely obsessed with farosh. I have ten pictures of them that I refuse to delete. Sometimes I just fly with farosh just to admire them 😂 I've probably spent three hours just looking at it so far
In reference to Naydra being female, I agree! Given that Link, Ganon and Zelda represent the three aspects of the triforce and the dragons emerge from springs named for those three aspects I think they're closely tied to eachother. This makes it all the more interesting that Naydra is corrupted with malice while Zelda is trapped by Ganon.
This game took over my life when I started playing it, so beautiful and magical. I cannot wait til the sequel or maybe I can lol I almost don’t want to start playing it because I know it will be over too soon 😓
Couple notes: Dragons spawn once a day any time Link is near their flight path, but they'll always spawn far behind wherever Link is along that path unless you're at their spawn point as is the case with Farosh or Dinraal at Akkala. This is why you always have to wait for them to reach you. They also only fly for about 5 or 6 hours per day if undisturbed. Dinraal's path is a single long one from the skies of Akkala through the canyon and out the west side of the canyon. Naydra's is one long loop from the top of the mountain down to Lanayru road and back up with no set spawn point. Farosh has three paths each with specific spawn points: one back and forth over Lake Floria spawning from Riola Spring, one circling around Lake Hylia spawning from the northwest of the lake, and one circling around the Gerudo Highlands spawning from the sky which isn't worth farming. For dragon spawns, a new day begins at midnight. Thus it's most convenient to rest until morning. In my opinion, it's faster to farm Naydra by teleporting to the shrine at the top of the mountain, resting til morning, and gliding down the northeast of the mountain to meet her as she flies up. You don't have to wait for her to come to you. This works especially well if you put a travel medallion near the small wooded area northeast of the shrine as there's an unlimited supply of wood for resting and puts you in a good position to fly out immediately to catch her rounding the Bay of Lanayru. You'll be collecting the drops one at a time and then teleporting back to reset but it saves so much time imo. For Dinraal, you can also fly out to meet him rather than wait for him to come to you. The shrine near Tabantha Bridge Stable works best, you can rest at the cooking pot, and you can ride your horse out north along the east side of the canyon until you see him and then fly out, collect the drop, and teleport back. You can even drop the travel medallion at the cooking pot to make it even faster. I just suggest this because I hate waiting for dragons to reach me.
If you are going to use the travel medallion it sometimes gets glitchy were you can’t get the dragon to spawn. So what I do when using the travel medallion is teleport to a random shrine then to the travel medallion which clears up the glitch, and allows the dragon to spawn. However when doing it this way you have to collect the drop each time, because teleporting away causes the items to de spawn.
@@jamesdecost6009 I've never had any problems with the travel medallion. My guess is the dragon might have already spawned that day somewhere before you used the medallion (like if you're in the Gerudo Highlands and then teleport to Lake Hylia, Farosh will not spawn again because he already spawned in Gerudo Highlands while you were there even if you didn't see him) so resting until morning would probably reset the spawn counter and clear up that issue. Similarly if you set foot around the canyon for a few seconds and then teleport to the Eldin skeleton, Dinraal will probably not spawn because being near the canyon already spawned Dinraal for that day. Like I said, wherever you are on their flight path, they will always spawn in such a way that it will take them a few hours to reach where you are so you usually won't see them when they spawn. This is my best guess of course but maybe there is a glitch. I just haven't experienced it.
Lake Hylia....that's where I encountered my first dragon. Was scared. At the time I didn't know if I could not be in certain areas or what (same thing when I first encountered the castle and the goo and eyes in front...I was like, I shouldn't be here...I'm going to insta-death any moment now...). I had no idea if I could get close or should get close. Then it started flying right towards me. No idea if a) I was to fight b) if it was friendly c) if it would/should trigger a cut scene or what. Then electric balls came off. I was hit. I ran. I cried. lol.
the dragons are some of the best aspects of the game, the first time you see one with the music change and beautiful design is jaw dropping. tysm for this video bc i thought you could only get scales, now gotta go farming horns.
@@WTF-Gamingysm for this video, it’s very helpful. one thing im not sure of tho, it doesn’t matter who’s parts you use to craft, they dont have unique enhancements right ? like farosh’s parts don’t gift you of an enhancement unique to him in comparison to those of dinraal or naydra ( hopefully im explaining myself 😅 ).
I don’t think so, I think they are just pretty much straight across the board except for you might need different ones to upgrade armor… I’m so glad it helped. And thank you for watching!
8:08 if you cross the gorge to the east (from your position) and stand on the highest point (just to the east, of the map label "Lanayru Road - west Gate"), and facing north, you can catch her after she comes around the hairpin turn in the gorge, and get right in her face for any part you want. All the parts will fall on the one north- facing slope making collection much easier
The only thing one could add is that you can get the Unfreezable bonus without having to upgrade the Snowquill Set by getting Zant's Helmet from the Champions' Ballad DLC. Similarly, you can get the Thunder Helm instead of collecting the three pieces of the Rubber Set for lightning protection, but that requires clearing Vah Naboris and few sidequests around Gerudo Town.
I think they meant for some people the expense it’s affordable. Like for what it is, it isn’t worth it. Or like in the context of the time now, with the living crisis, people can’t afford it.
You should use a golden bow for farming. It has great zoom and almost no drop off. You can farm it after every blood moon inside that cave next to the Yiga clan hideout and the Tower. The one you need to use Stasis to unblock the entrance.
As someone late af to the switch Zelda games I greatly appreciate this video. Clear, informative and straightforward. Hoping your channel has more of this awesome sauce.
@WTF-Gaming gone through a few of yours and I gotta say you've got some great info that's not hard to understand. You've been a huge game changer for the wife and I. We look forward to more of your channel.
So, after all this time, I didn't have to collect the parts after every hit... lol, wish I knew this before. I may have to go play this again before TOTK gets released. It's a great game.
Always a enjoyable comprehensive video even from someone who put 800+ hours playing Breath of the Wild. Looking forward to Tears of the Kingdom videos.
I was going up the volcano when I started to burn up so I glided back down so I wouldn’t die. Going down I saw a white dragon flying behind the mountain and it was like seeing a beautiful ghost. It was breath taking to look at but I didn’t know if it would kill me or not so I kept gliding away in awe
it's so cool to see people talking about the first time they saw the dragons in the comments, same with me, a mix of terror and admiration, thanks for this video
Not sure if this was already commented, but so long as there’s no rain, you can drop a lit torch by a camp for an undying campfire. Torches don’t take damage from heat, so when the camp goes out, the torch will automatically light it back up and vice versa.
Something you didn't talk about with farming those more easily: using a bow who shoot straight and far is easier! I like to use the lightning bow from my Zelda Amiibo! But any Rito bow will do even de Gerudo one! Or the ancient is a pretty good one too! But I still prefer the lightning one he goes further and use 0 arrows! 😍
Started playing this last year and then stopped for a bit but I’m right back in it with 71 shrines discovered so far. So glad this game still holds up so many years later.
The map in game does this for you already though. Blue and orange for registered your slate but not gone in / orange for incomplete / blue for complete.
I guess it’s helpful but I like to find them myself. I’m not really a completionist player, as I know some quest and things I can’t do myself and don’t want to use the internet to cheat. Also as long as I have fun playing I don’t care about 100% stuff other than the storyline.
I love your voice! It's casual and not too fast paced and easy to have in the background while I play. I never got around to finishing the game, so I've picked it up again and have been using your video guides. Thanks!
Thanks for this, I love the dragons, they're so eautiful. I was worried that if I killed one it ould be gone forever. Now I know I can hid them and get a scale so I don't need to kill them but also that they spawn daily
I farm Farosh mainly and he has a distinct pattern...turns up at night round about midnight. I go to the Lakeside Stable and take my spot on the bridge. Usually they fall in the water but no big deal since i teleport back to the nearby shrine if I run out of stamina.
I was so amazed to see my first dragon, managing to get a scale then bringing to the spring, only to find out your reward is yet another shrine. I love this game for all its little details but man, nothing you do feels unique. Everytime you find something new and exciting what's your reward for it? Another shrine, great, thanks game for ruining my excitement of finding something new. This did the same thing when I solved the 7 guardians puzzle.
I first saw a Dragon this morning as me and my horse, Boko, were looking for the Horse God cause I wanted to unlock it incase any disasters happened to Boko and my other 2 horses. I was moreso surprised to see the dragon, and felt like it wouldn't attack me (which it didn't)
Nice video! Although I have to say, you don't necessarily have to glide close to a dragon to shoot it if you equip a long distance shooting bow. There are 2 bows I've used for long distance; 1. Golden Bow. Can be picked up at Gerudo town for free! (At gerudo training area). 2. Ancient Bow. Can be bought from Akkala tech lab. Both of these bows shoot arrows straight and farther than most other bows.
That Farosh farming spot is fantastic! Every playthrough I farm him around Lake Hylia, and that leads to a lot of frustration because you can't always get the worlds best angle haha. Great video!
This is such a great video! I usually farm Farosh from the bridge by the stable. I just place the travel medallion right next to the cooking pot at the stable and then warp back there as soon as I pick up my piece, but I'm definitely going to try utilizing that palm tree by the spring. Theres a third place in the Tebantha Canyon that I like to use that seems to give me a great vantage point for Dinral. There are two shrines on the northern side of the canyon, one next to the Upper Lindor area on the east side of the canyon that is one of Rivali's Champion Shrines. The other is on the west side, the Dunba Tagg Shrine. Standing on the cliffs on either side puts you directly level with Dinral as he flies through the canyon from the north. So when the pieces fly off of him you can trace them down and teleport back to either shrine. You can use the shrine entrance as cover for building a fire so you're good rain or shine. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I just recently discovered your channel, and despite having over 2000 hours in this game I've learned some awesome and amazing tricks from your videos!
Before I ever came across the Lightning dragon I had complete all 3 waves for the Yiga Blademaster so I had the Lightning proof helm. Why resist Lightning when you can ignore it.
The first i saw one i saw thw wind currents while get a seed from those little guys. Pool of water pillars in the middle. Suddenly i was getting fking shocked and dying and i apun my camera and saw a dragon and i was freaking out??? I literally reloaded the game in shockrd cuz i was at 3 hearts by the time i recovered
I think naydra is a she but dinraal and farosh are male personally. Mostly because those are the genders of their corresponding humanoid (Zelda, ganondorf, and link)
I’m new to the game but not zelda, i don’t know if my game glitched , all these tutorials i watch say only once a day , FAROSH also spawns lake hylia and i got a part was in the water so i fast travelled to the shrine there in lake and spawned again i shot again collected part and travelled again and again shot him and got one more part then he didnt come up again but thats 3 in one day , so i got multiple after fast travel same day
I googled it all the dragons are female they are a reference to the magic in ocorina of time, you know din’s fire, nayru’s love, and farore’s wind, it makes sense actually since they’re names are comparable
I wish I knew dragons earlier. I wish I knew earlier dragons. Dragons I wish I knew earlier. Earlier I wish dragons I knew. Earlier I wish I knew dragons. I WISH I KNEW THE ORDERING OF THE WORDS IN THE THUMBNAIL DRAGONS.
Naydra is female because she doesn't have any kind of horn. Farish has a unicorn-type horn, and Dinraal has those massive antler-type horns. Also, I feel tender towards Naydra because of rescuing her from the malice. I read somewhere that the dragons are either genderless, because they represent spirit, or that they are all female, because Hylia is female. But to me Naydra feels female, and Farosh and Dinraal are dude dragons 😄
I LOVE that I found you because not only are your tips massively helpful, you are also a woman around my age (I'm assuming if you also grew up with the first Zelda- class of '93 here) who loves playing BotW! I don't think there are many of us out there so I feel like it's a long distance support group haha! Thanks so much for posting. Your game skills make me want to get better!
@@WTF-Gaming high five to late Gen X gamer girls! Old enough to know what a cassette single is but young enough to have gotten addicted to Nintendo! I teach at a college and it's a great bonding thing with the kids. They give some amazing game recommendations! I will pass your account on to my other (few) friends our age that play ❤️
Well hello from yet another “late to the gaming party” gamer! I’m 54 in May. I started gaming in 2015?, but just played Disney Infinity 3 with my, at the time, 1 in elementary and 1 in Middle School. When The Hunter: of the Wild came out in 2017, I was HOOKED! In fact, in 2019, I ended up playing with one of my youngest daughter’s MS friends. 4 months later another of her friends asked if I’d like to play Red Dead Online with her, as we’re both horse people. Goodbye CoTW, hello RDO! Ends up our play styles don’t match and dragging along a COMPLETE newbie with poor hand to eye coordination and lack of innate gamer intuition wasn’t her idea of fun. Can’t say I blame her. 😊 BUUUUT, I was so hooked, I played in a private lobby until I got better, started watching live streams and ended up regularly playing with a pretty popular streamer! Never would I ever have thought that would happen cuz I’m still not a very intuitive player. At all. I’m quick to panic in combat, loudly squeak and squeal, smashing buttons like I’m 5yrs old! 😂 Starting a new game only compounds it. Lol I bought a used copy of BoTW at GameStop 2 years ago. My hubby had reclaimed the PS, which was MORE than fair! He’d bought it to use as a family, but when I played HIS CoTW, I completely monopolized both the console and the game. It was truly ridiculous. Acting like a child, I finally threw a fit and got a switch in protest. Both our girls had one, so playing with them was my excuse, but we know that ain’t the whole truth, eh? I got Zelda because I wanted another RPG, everybody who plays it LOVES IT and it looked as beautiful as the other 2 I’d played. How hard could it be…? I rage quit after a month because I never could get the fight mechanic figured out and the controller buttons being different WERE KILLIN ME! Still, playing as Link in Mario cart always nagged at me for letting BoTW get the best of me… 3 months ago I picked it up again. I was going to prove to myself that I’d gotten better, but once I’d completed the story, I’d be done. No buying the dlc, no making it feel like a job because of letting my need to grind my way through the levels getting the best of me, no losing track of time and playing until everybody else woke up the next morning to start the day… Riiiiigh. I started the trial of the sword last night. I quit on my second attempt because it was 2:30, I was only to the first rest area and my eyes were getting heavy from cooking wood. 😂 damn this beautiful game! Guess I’ve gone and gotten hooked yet again. 🙄😏 I still suck, I still panic and mash buttons while I cuss and squeal, I still crouch in front of enemies and can’t remember how to stand up cuz ya know, panicking. I still can’t parry and flurry rush, lynals are nightmare fuel to be completely avoided now that my armor is leveled up, but meh, I still love it, so here I am. 🤷🏻♀️😁 Some days it feels like a grind so I just play something else on the PS4 with my online buddies. Hubby upgraded to a PS5 so the PS4 is ALL MINE! And here’s me, wearin out my switch. 😂 Sorry this got so long winded! 😳 It seems like such a small group of us “well seasoned” chicks that are newbies! I kinda got on a roll with telling my wild ride into gaming. 😁 I’d LOVE to hear your stories and how it’s going for you now! I can honestly say, I 100% wouldn’t have gotten as far in BoTW without WTF’s channel. She’s been priceless in helping me get past the divine beasts and beating 113 shrines! The completionist in me is very happy. Lol One day I may even take on the final Ganon fight, but for now, I’m good with where I’m at. The trial of the sword may keep me busy for years! 😂
Wow I love it, you made me smile, and even laugh out loud… Thank you for that 💞 and thank you so much for your support and kind words I am so glad that I can help, Love your enthusiasm and your experience getting into gaming that is awesome😎
I believe all dragons to be female as the oracles of the triforce are all female and the dragons’ names are all based of them. Nayru, Din and Farore from the oracle series and Ocarina of Time as far as I know.
8:05 hmm i farm it closer to the Lanayur Road - East gate, in ca. where you have placed a star marker, it`s a bit faster but that is also a good place what you tell us
My preference for farming Farosh is on the Floria bridge. You can build a fire in the middle and Sit til morning or sleep at Lakeside Stable til morning and run over toward the middle of the bridge. Farosh comes through just off center, a little ways toward the Stable side. And in my experience, if he doesn't show up in the morning, just walk back over to the fire and sit 'til Night. He flies over lake Floria up to 3 times a day. My 2nd fav farming spot for Farosh is on the bridge over Lake Hylia.
first dragon i saw was the green one as i wanted to go to that area, scared the sh!t out of me because i thought it was a boss and so i avoided the area like the plague, second playthrough i went straight there lol
Love the idea of climbing the palm tree to wait for Farosh. I've always gone just inside the cave to the north of Riola Spring. Protected from rain, but you do need a long-range bow to hit him.
Can you only get one item at a time? I hit the dragon multiple times but I only get the item from the first hit. It looks like in the video you manage to harvest multiple items at once... Thank you so much for your awesome videos!
You could and should probably be using a long range bow for these farming sessions, aka the Phrenic or Golden Bow. Since they Zoom in it makes aiming your shots from a distance MUCH easier. I would never want to use anything but a Phrenic or Golden Bow for Dragon farming, it's just SO much easier to land your shots where you want them w the Zooming bows. Am really not sure why so many ppl still don't realize this, it's pretty obvious that it helps a ton.
I’ve found that Dinraal can be farmed twice a day. My procedure: 1) Set fire near the canyon roughly around Hebra tower. At 9ish, Dinraal spawns far to the east by Death Mountain. By 11pm, Dinraal is at your location. Shoot Dinraal. Collect part. 2) Fast travel back to Hebra tower. 3) Typically around midnight, Dinraal will spawn again, arriving by about 2-3am. Shoot again and collect part. 4) Fast travel back to Hebra Tower. Set fire. Sleep until next night. Set fire again. Sleep until next night. Rinse and repeat.
Your videos are so easy to follow. I really appreciate it. You really explain things well and tell al the little details that other leave out because they assume you know how to connect the dots they make.
Where was you, when I first started this game 3yrs ago, not a fan of botw, because it lacked dungeons an other mechanics, so I did not complete game, but you my friend has resurrected a new interest for me for the game, even though the sequel is on the horizon which I am looking forward to intensely, but you make me want to play botw before the sequel arrives, such clear concise tips, I have subscribed, great video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

You are clear, precise and complete.... Whow wants more. Just a question.... is it possible (helpfull) to stand on the dragon like in TOTK?
Thank you so much, I am so glad they help and as far as the dragons are concerned, no you do not want to touch them in BoTW 😉… Thank you so much for watching!
I'm new to botw, but looooong time Zelda fan like since the original on nes. I found your videos very helpful. You don't leave anything out. When I ask a question in my head you answer it. The coolest part of all is that (I'm assuming) your female, I don't know a single female Zelda player, until now. Keep up the good work!!!
I grounded myself this week from the game since I played all weekend and my sink is full of dishes. But I was planning on googling what was up with the dragons cause I saw the electric one on the bridge and I got a glimpse of the fire one up north and I was stunned at how beautiful they were
The southern voice is so rare on RU-vid. I’ve been out of the real South for so long I’m starting to lose my ability to tell what state people are from. You don’t have to answer so that you can maintain your anonymity and privacy, but I wanna guess either the Carolinas or Tennessee?
I remember seeing Farosh for the first time. Didn't even know there were dragons. I was on the Great Plateau and happened to look toward Lake Hylia and there it was, flying in all its majestic glory. Pretty terrifying lol
