I Wish I Knew These 10 Things Before Building a House in Mexico 

I'm in the midst of building my property, mostly walling off at the moment. It's been over a year so far. I save in labour costs by sharing a 2-3 man crew. Soon the house will start. Thank you for sharing.

I had no say in the building of the home and Ferretería my husband had built. He had it started before we got together, and we were in the United States. He is a Mexican citizen and had his family supervise. They didn't put a staircase in the Ferretería for the second floor, and our home has a water problem in the roof.

We are on the tail end of our build. It has been a long haul. Too many experiences to write about here but we finally took over the build ourselves about two years ago because we had so many problems. No small feat for a 56 and 63 year old couple with minimal financial means. But we are doing it. There are so many things we wish we had known 6 years ago…thanks for the video
