It’s a shame Cesc played for us at a time where the club couldn’t invest to the level it can now. Incredible player, one of the best passers I’ve ever seen.

It was an absolute tragedy that the club weren't in a position financially to build a side around him during that period from 07-11. Had they have complimented him with the calibre of players from Arsenal sides in the 3-5 seasons previously then I have no doubt that they would have won at least 1 PL title in that time and who knows what else. We were always lagging behind United, Chelsea and even Liverpool in the transfer market during that period which ultimately was the reason behind why those sides had that telling advantage over us that culminated in there much more trophy laden outcomes during that era. Shame.

Fab moving to Barca wasn’t ever going to move the needle for them much. They had class players all over the pitch and he was just one of many. To this day I feel Arsenal could have won the league in 2012 if Fab stayed that season. Van Persie was injury free for once and won the golden boot. Would have racked up another 15 goals from Fabregas’ assists alone.

Cesc Fabregas was baller as a player in his youth and prime at Arsenal then a three year stint at Barcelona. But then followed 4 and half years at Chelsea he made things tick like flair and he's only 36 years old I still think he's got another 2 years to play. But a true legend of premier league.

My Favourite Player of All Time: ●Fabregas was 17 years old during virtually the entirety of his breakthrough season of 04/05 and made 33 league appearances (24 starts) in a side just off the back of winning the previous seasons league without losing a game, finished 2nd in that current campaign and won the FA Cup. Just let that sink in. Absolutely frightening 😲. ●Only he and Evan Ferguson have 10+ goals/assists to there names as 18 year olds in the Premier League era. Had to get that one in as an Irishman 😄. ●"Statistics show that in the five years prior to Fàbregas's departure from Arsenal, Fàbregas created 466 goal-scoring chances, made 86 assists and scored 48 goals, all three statistics topping those of new teammates Xavi and Andrés Iniesta, despite both having made more appearances in the same period." ●09/10 League Season: Apps: 27 Goals: 15 Assists: 15 Who knows what numbers he would have finished with that season if he'd avoided a few niggling injuries during the first half of that campaign and not fractured his leg to Barca in March and been ruled out for the remainder of the season. I've no doubt that he would have comfortably broken the record of 20 assists in a PL season and in all likelihood would have 20+ League goals to his name alongside it. All from CM at 22 years of age in his second season as club captain as well it's worth noting. ●Made captain of Arsenal at the tender age of 21 as well. He was absolute magic.

I really agree with Cesc at 15:58 about managers being basically too fixated on strategy and tactics which suffocates individual players who have different attributes which could help the team win more games and therefore keep the manager in job for longer instead of complicating things.

People said Wenger had to sell players to pay back the stadium. I hear that but 1) He could of paid off the stadium by winning the league keeping that amazing crop of players RvP, Nasri, Fabregas, Adebayor, Song and Sagna. 2) Selling to rivals was stupid AF. Keeping those players we easily win 3 more PL titles thus paying off the stadium debts
@maybe2761
@maybe2761 10 месяцев назад
1) You can’t rely on players when it comes to needing money because of factors such as those players may get injured or ill, they may lose form, and as we know football is very unpredictable so even if you have a great team, you’re not always 100% going to win the title 2) Rivals may have been the only teams that were willing to pay the fees needed, no point in selling players if you’re not getting the money you need

Cesc's biggest mistake was that he was the centerpiece of one of Europe's biggest clubs and could have helped Arsenal to maintain their status as a top team and to take them back to the pinnacle. Instead, he chose to be just another player at a Barcelona. To some extent, there's nothing wrong with that - it was the best team in the world at the time and it's where he is from, so we knew he'd go back at some point, but I think he went too early. The Arsenal fans don't embrace him anymore because of what happened, and Barcelona fans don't consider him a club legend either.

Stayed? He means come back in the 14/15 season. He got the chance to train and play with one of the best teams of all time in 2012-2014 with all his Spanish teammates and Messi. Imagine, The world and European champions who all play for the same club begging you to join them. Not easy to turn down. The best football of his career is at barca. Just watch some of the highlights and goals and assists he did during his time. But there was too much of the English game in him to stay disciplined at barca and wait for xavi to go. It would of been him instead of Rakatic as the barca midfield 2016 onward. If he stayed at arsenal and then went in 2015 he would of then been the main midfielder.

RVP, Fabregas and Nasri broke the fans heart, but I feel for them they wanted to win something because professional footballing career is too short 15-20 years. Kroenke run the club like business. The guy never put a penny to the club, it was all about money (typical American). I respect Arsene and love him, if it’s not for him we would’ve been Championship team or just another Stoke City. He built Stadium, keep us in the top 4 with spending way les than the likes of Chelsea, Man United, City and at times even than Tottenham. I don’t wanna take nothing from Arteta or the previous managers, but every we’re today is because of Wenger.
