I knew it was coming, but having heard the leaks, I forgot all about it as it is extremely iterative, though unlike the iPads, creators will not mention that.
Funny how Samsung made fun of apple for their camera notch & few years later BAM! copy pasted it to their own devices like nothing ever happened lmao 😂
Why do people say iPad has apps more optimized for a tablet screen? I have an s7 plus and an iPad and they basically have the same app optimization for screen size. Although android can force apps that aren’t to fit better and iPad is can’t.
Among Samsung users the snapdragon chipset is not only perceived as being the best but is the preference among all users and as such I don't think this product will sell very well
Whilst Apple releases the iPad Pro with the M4 well before it comes in the Macs, Samsung releases a year-old chip that will be superseded by the SD8G4 in a few weeks! I know why they did it, as the Dimensity chips are nearly as cheap as Exynos as they near the end of their cycle. Sadly, Exynos would not be up to the job, and Samsung would not want to upset its bigger markets, such as the US. They can use the E2400 in their mid-range devices like the S24FE. I question the usefulness of an anti-glare display since I always use a tempered glass screen protector, which negates the feature. Additionally, indoors, I would favour the Tandem OLED for its double brightness and Dolby HDR. However, it seems Samsung is cutting costs by omitting these two excellent features. Otherwise, for Samsung fans, a small update, and Tab S8 Ultra users probably do not need to upgrade, so they need to hope they can scrounge some buyers from elsewhere. And at this price, that may be a tough assignment.
Exactly. I currently own a tab s9 ultra and this is the most minor, stupid upgrade ever. For that price Samsung should have waited 2 more months and use snapdragon 8 gen4 + better screen.
Problem is, Android apps ecosystem built specifically for tablets sucks. Also why do they have a Apple notch on their tablet? It looks tacky compared to their other products.
Exactly! A tablet should never have a notch. Most people want to enjoy an uninterrupted larger screen that's why they get a tablet or an iPad. It's bad enough that even folding phones have stupid camera cut out on the larger internal screen, why a bloody notch on a real tablet? 🙄
what if 2 years complete this tab after suddenly Green lines comes in display what's we do ...? samsung, not take any responsibility display replacement free...
A proper tablet experience. The iPad is just a waste of space. No multitasking on a big screen is criminal and pointless. Plus the movie experience on the Samsung is vastly superior.
Thank you for making anti-reflective screens a big deal! Everyone loves OLED screens, but those things are just a freaking mirror during the day! The reflections dilute the color, undermining the whole "popping images" experience...
Yeah... Nice commercial for Mediatek 9300+ showing 10% less efficiency in comparison with Snapdragon 8gen3 🤣 If it would be at least cheaper... but 1199 USD for base version ?!?!?!?🙄 Apple iPad Air costs 599 USD for base version (+150 USD for 5G, +200 USD for 13"). Apple iPad Pro costs 999 USD for base version (+200 USD for 5G, +300 USD for 13"). 11" is all you need. If you need larger screen then 14" is still way too big and using it with attached keyboard basically means you can easily buy an ultrabook or some kind of 360 ultrabook which will be much faster and more functional... Sorry SAMSUNG but this is failed product from the start.
I was considering getting a high end tablet, but ended up buying the end of line Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 i7 13.3" with S-pen very cheaply last week from John Lewis. It goes well with my S23 Ultra. £800 and most of the Samsung apps I like are available on Windows (Samsung only hardware). The Tab 10 Ultra is still a nice tablet.
Samsung is copying Apple again with a previous-generation chip in their lower model, the Tab S9. This is sensible, as they can discount that, as Apple does with the Air, making that quality tablet more affordable for those who cannot afford the top-tier ones.
for challenging apple it must be come with snapdragon elite or 8Gen 4 but sadly much weaker processor n almost nothing new at the end we have not a real Apple Competitive
You're right. The Ultra is definitely more productivity driven than the iPad. I'm an iPhone user with an S9 Ultra as my daily driver for Office, research, and conference calls. It's 90% there when it comes a laptop. I wish the iPad had Dex! You think it's worth the upgrade from the S9 Ultra?
It is too expensive, and Samsung is going cheaper as their tablets do not sell enough to make it profitable without cutting corners to increase the margins.
I know it's only a very niche use case scenario, but losing the Snapdragon Chipset means you could run into performance and compatibility issues with Emulators because they tend to be written and optimised for the Adreno GPUs in the Snapdragon chips.
This is a joke. Basically no improvement, cheaper soc but no drop in price..... I would expect at least the same promise they did for the phones: 7 years of software updates. Do you have intel on that? Edit: Aparently its also 7 years of software updates. At least that!
Much nicer anti-reflective screen, a bit lighter, much improved SoC and cooling. It's a decent upgrade for the same money. (still VERY expensive though)
@@Thetechchap I guess we have to understand that tech doesn't rapidly evolve like back in the day. 14 g lighter is not noticeable. The new bigger cooling chamber is on the Plus too?
LMFAO Dimensity 9300+, "8GEN 3 performance" THE 8GEN 4 IS LIKE 2 MONTHS AWAY bro the notch is sad and the fact that it has 1 port only one port like bro who would take this seriously we aren't i🐑 (well most of us aren't lol) anyway good on samsung now no emulator works on this and it's 1450 bucks (512gb) + 100 bucks for the rest of the device + 100 bucks to get functioning ports GOD DAMN
I WISH they would have given a dual boot option for windows 11 with this years model. I've tried to use the tab series tablets to replace my laptop and it just never works. Now that arm is so ubiquitous with new windows laptops it probably wouldn't have been too difficult to throw a Elite Plus in here. Welp
As it applies to Apple, that would decimate their laptop sales. T Roh has made some terrible decisions, but that would be promoted to number one business suicide. In tech, it is hard enough to compete against rivals, let alone compete against your own hardware. I see comments like this all the time, and it does make me wonder!
Ipad is way better. Samsung pads in between pad and laptop which sucks. You can’t do what normal ipad/pad should do with it: You can’t play games with that big display; You can’t carry it around; Battery life is too bad which means you need charger all the time; It’s not as professional drawing device as Ipad; Ipad’s display has better quality. On top of those, now Samsung is using media tek which means there is a lot of chance that it gets way too hot after hard apps. Edit: for those who’s saying “you haven’t used new Samsung pad”, yes i have used s9+
@@MichalBratit’s like apple fanboy saying “you have never used iPhone” lol. Yes I have used galaxy pad s9+, I switched my ipad with my bro’s pad for a week. Battery life was so bad, you can’t play games (i mean display is too big), android apps sucks, you can’t draw good pictures. In short, only thing i liked about it was samsung dex, I would love smth like that on iPadOS.
@@MichalBratChill, man. There are people who like both OS. I use Galaxy Note 9 and iPad Mini 6. Sold my Galaxy Tab 6 as it was crap. Had a Huawei tablet before that too, and it was better than Tab 6. Will I ever go back to android tablet? Probably not. I like the iPadOS and may stick with it. Now all I wish for Samsung to do is make another Galaxy Note 9 second generation or something with no camera cut out.
