Well done Cole, I was the lone supporter just before the 9 Mile mark, not an official Marshal but encouraging everyone running along the Pilgrims Way bit and saw you again when you ran with your Mum, well done to you and your family, great stuff
My favorite pre-race songs: "Sweet Caroline" - Neil Diamond "The Distance" - Cake "I get up" - INXS "I won't back down" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Well done great run. Be sensible with recovery now mate. 10 good weeks of 60 miles and gym is Better than 3 weeks of insane training of 100 miles then injured for 6 or 7 weeks! Good stuff.
😊Cole, you're an inspiration and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The main focus point is doing what you want to do. If that be an elite runner then you're already there. If it's something different don't stress it. Do you mate. But appreciate and love your videos regardless.
Thanks Josh, struggling with this injury atm And I think it’s gonna force me to take some rest as much as I’ve tried to fight it. Definitely wish I enjoyed running on its own, rather than the time attachments too!
Congratulations Cole, excellent run and an excellent race recap, not messy at all, spot on, really pleased for you. Hope the hamstring continues to improve and like your plan to race more frequently and not solely focus on specific races, i think that it will ease the mental pressure and the upside we will get to see more race videos, 😊
Congrats on a great time and first place finish. That is a lot of money too (I converted it to USD to get an idea). Some of the big races have cash prizes but we are talking really large races. Most local races do not. I do one in the summer here that offers $20 for first in your age group and I think $100 for first overall. It is nice to get a few bucks back for your work. Nice to see your family involved as well. Well done Cole!
May I get some advice? If I'm training for a 5k road race, but I want to train some track intervals, should I practice in spikes? Even if I'm faster in spikes on track, does that TRAINING translate to road race speed in road shoes? Thanks.
I generally don’t do anything over 2k volume in spikes just because I find it’s too much on my calves. But I would say start off small, e.g. just one short rep, and gradually increase it over weeks to months
@@ColeRunning I was just kidding… 🥵I have to concede today. No matter how hard I train, there is no way in my life I can break 54 minutes in 10 miles. 🤣………. So …… C’MON COLE !!!
