I tested what happened if you let the game open for you... and I might say... the luck was actually BETTER Imo... granted I won barely any legendary rewards (Deciever and Splinter) from 37 blue datapads, but I got 14500 Ophion, 4500 Dagon, 2000 Ocho and ONLY 2 pilots, which people have said out of about 40... AND YOU PROVED IN THIS VIDEO, that opening manually seems to give WAY more pilots.
