This was my first time competing in a jiu jitsu tournament and it feels so amazing to win. It wasn’t easy! I’m so glad she entered the fight! She caught me off guard at how quickly she pulled guard. To be honest I wasn’t even sure the ref said start yet and she pulled guard, but that’s just me being inexperienced and not knowing how the match goes. Once we were on the ground, she held onto grips tight I couldn’t break them. I made a lot of mistakes that are very clear now watching the video, I’ve got a lot to learn!
