Good to hear Q School is in your mind, that shows how far you've come just in the last few months. You're more than good enough to be a tour card holder if the injury gets sorted out
Well done Matt, and Zach with the medal, great to show another side of darts and what players who have a dream of playing at lakeside have to go thru for the rankings. The journey should be a fun adventure and make a great series.
Congratulations on the title Matt, and was really pleased to hear you and Zach got medals in the pairs - great to see two good mates sharing in success. All the best to you both on your journey 😊
I played my best set of darts ever today, was buzzin'....then seeing this video made me even more excited! Nothing better than seeing a humble class act lad like you doing well! Many congrats and much respect from Niagara Falls Canada! Sir Matthew the savage Ed-grrrrrrrr!
I am just finally a 50 avg player. I have worked very hard to get even that high. Today I won 5 legs to 0 with a 63.69 avg. I had a 180, a double top 80 out, and in the last leg I had a 65 overall avg with 60 points left to win and busted with treble 20 first dart LOL. That brought my average down to 63 something...Came back and hit big 20, miss high, then hit tops for game shot. Was buzzzzing! I look forward to improving and noticed that darts is like golf. The better you get, the more fun it is!@@joshuasavage1128
Gotta say it was good to see Zach with his medal. I’d be doing exactly what he was doing in his place, but I’d probably be more flamboyantly with it. Lol. Love seeing you guys go on these adventures together, you’re clearly good mates and you complement each other well. Hope you keep this video diary going. Lovin’ every minute of it.
Great progress mate! That creature was a cricket / grasshopper mate! The rule is, if it bites, you can kill it. If its just freaking you out, grab a glass, enclose the bugger, put a piece of paper the other side to trap it and then chuck it out the window! It helps if you laugh while doing this because it is kind of funny.
@@Edgartvdarts Quick story: One year I was in a Summer School in Croatia and a bat came in a room and it was flying around and we couldn't get it out. Solution: Switch lights off and leave the room for a few hours!
HAHAHA, that bug, funniest thing I've seen in ages, great result as well! coming along nicely, great to see you in the winners circle again, and how tiny do you look in that line-up lol
Thanks for the upload. Got a few thoughts in response to your vLog. 1 - That damn grasshopper thing. I travel a LOT for my work (and naturally take my darts with me) and one night I stayed somewhere that had a Cricket under my bed. I literally upended my entire motel unit, chased out the annoying Cricket, then realised I still had to reassemble my unit back to standard - and it was 10:30pm! THAT was a fun and memorable work trip...I even still have the photo of my motel unit between post-eviction of the Cricket and pre-tidy up my room 😀 2 - Big ups to winning your event. The trophy looks the biz too! And well done to Zac for pride in his medal. Honestly, who wouldn't wear it even in the shower ;-) 2a - Am curious as to how your prize money is balanced out by the expenses required to do what you did in Slovenia, and how much that plays into aspiring dartists when they are hunting those valuable ranking points. As someone based in New Zealand, this is an aspect of the Pro-Am side of the game I have a keen interest in, as I wonder how prohibitive it can get for those players that especially have to travel a long way to play in WDF events. 3 - Love the darts shirt as well. As a child of the '80s the test pattern is simply iconic. Would love a signed one for my darts room ;-) 4 - Criticism of the WDF. I wonder how much of the criticism it receives is partly due to the professional standard set by the PDC, and thus by loose association all other Associations and/or Federations are seen as the so-called 'poor cousin' and thus is seen as an opportunity to simply put the boot in. Which to me is just wrong - after all, professionals of today were the amateurs of yesterday, and there is a definite place for those organisations that cater to the amateur/Pro-Am arm of the sport.
Going to Budapest end of October for the open and masters, hopefully see you there mate if your making the trip. Well done at wkend, hopefully see you in the late rounds in budapest lol.
7:28 Haha there’s me looking thoroughly ecstatic waiting for the fourth draw. Was good meeting you and congrats on your win! (Sorry I had to leave just before the final). Hope to see you in Bruges if you’re going. PS. Hope Zachary found his missing darts.
I know lakeside in just over a year is the ultimate target Matt but if you qualify this year do you not fancy it just as a free hit/get used to the venue??
Loving this journey! Would you be able to do a video on the differences between the PDC ,wdf , modus super series ,ADC etc as I get so confused but love to watch everything darts ( and Aston Villa)
You sure it wasn't a grasshopper? About the least scary insect around😂 Zac reminds of a growing teenager getting home from school and going to sleep with his stinky socks on the end of the couch 😂 Great stuff Matty... get in!
Great vlog! Few thoughts…hiring a WDF rep with a salary would probably come out of the prize money, seeing how the WDF operates. What’s with you and Zack with bugs? Man up! LOL 🎯🔥
Let’s gooooo!!! Congrats on the title!! I wouldn’t have taken the medal off either LOL, and c’mon who goes around stealing darts at this level?! What a BUM!
