I WON Rare Pokemon Cards From Goodwill! 

One time at Salvation Army (3 years ago) they had a vintage Pokémon binder behind the counter for $20 I asked to see it and I open it up and first page had base set zard, base set blastoise, 2 base set venasaurs all in great condition. And a shining gyarados. Along with a bunch of other vintage cards. Never paid for something so fast

EX series so much nostalgia for me. It’s the set I grew up with but didn’t know. When I was a kid I grew up with no wifi so anytime I would go to the store I knew nothing about sets , what cards are in the sets or anything. I just saw Pokemon cards and wanting to open packs.

Just a note from someone who's actively looked at Goodwills online auctions for a few years now, it's not worth the time. 99% of the people bidding are older people who see anything labeled Pokemon and assume it's worth at least $1,000. The bid amounts are absolutely insane on nearly every item. Even bulk card lots end up selling for hundreds, and are filled with nothing but $0.01 cards. I've never found an auction that ended at a price lower than what I could have just bought the same products/cards on Ebay for. But hey, always a chance I guess. Just a heads up, it's pretty bad most of the time lol.

I don't know anything about Pokemon cards, but I am a coin collector. I watch your videos because you get excited about the cards you get like I do when I find coins in rolls, or out in a coin return that might be rare or interesting. I'm always hoping you have good luck, and find things you like, just so I can see you get pumped up.

I always pop into my local thrift stores & check the glass cases. A couple years ago I actually found a Yugioh collection in a PLASTIC BAG for $50😂 had unlimited starter decks for yugi and kaiba, then a binder literally full of unlimited sdk blue eyes. They were all played but I still grabbed it. The sealed decks actually shot up in value

So Pokémon is now part of my sons life. He open the price books at school and got a Pokémon card kept in this backpack. Then got another trip to the prize box at school Bam another Pokémon card. After showing it to a friend a friend told him about what he had. My son then came home without a Pokémon card and said Dad this is a Pokémon card. Did you know that there’s a lot of different Pokémon?..🤯😨😢🤔🤤😇😁. We now have a hobby That we both have in common the Love for Pokémon!!!!

How does one find pokemon cards at goodwill?!?!?

Shop Goodwill's pretty good when looking for cards. We got some a mystery box of nothing but Base, Fossil, and Jungle cards. Was almost all commons and uncommons, but after losing all my cards, wasn't disappointed.

Those cards would be great for binder collections! I have been trying to collect EX era sets since it was my childhood, I understand you paid over price to secure the auction, but those cards are great for the right price!

That one card in the check lane blister Salamence is from black and white era Dragon Vault I’ve been trying to get that one in mint condition for my master set lol sucks it was bent.

I've been doin the Goodwill cards for few years now and have won quite a few amazing bundles pokemon, sports, won a sport card bundle and found an entire 1986 fleer basketball set with Jordan rookie in it, only paid 83$😁

I bought that Venusaur tin online last year for 20 bucks. The crazy thing about the tins, is that they re-release them with newer packs with the older promo card. I just bought the Jolteon/vaporeon/flareon tins and only 1 actually had the original SM packs, the rest had early SWSH

A couple years back I bidded on a 4 pound lot of Pokémon cards on goodwill. Paid 6$ when I received it of course a bunch of random bulk. But in the middle of them all was a near complete base set,jungle, and fossil holo collection. Safe to say goodwill can have gems.

I love mystery bags which were abondent at airports! They sell them all for almost the same and price and you can be lucky! That's maybe the same only with pokemon cards!

Not Pokémon, but I managed to grab 2 FULL binders of sports cards at goodwill for $30 total. Not sure HOW nobody caught them but they had super old 1940-1990 sports cards. Currently trying to figure out how best to evaluate them, but the value is over $1000 per binder.

I remember finding an old Diamond and Pearl box with 3 packs at Walmart for $15.It wasn't that long ago but I do regret opening it because now they go for a lot.

Be aware...goodwill has been ripping people off for decades. How many free cd's from AOL and Netflix have they sold? There are many items listed right now that are worth a lot less than goodwill posted them for. Using an ebay filter you can see what some sold for, but use the shopping page on Google to get more than one price. I routinely find mercari prices bizarre as well. Then there's shipping and handling. Their shipping calculator spits out crazy rates. It doesn't help that they add weight that isn't there. I caught them claiming my board game weighed 15 pounds. I contacted the store and they adjusted it. The handling is what it is I suppose. I have personally seen things that are sketchy. An item I lost a bid on reappears the following week with identical photos showing the exact same serial number. There's a ton of articles accusing them of shill bidding and who would know?...they police themselves. Speaking of police, goodwill hires people that have recently been incarcerated. This may have more to do with shady activity than goodwill or it could be a convenient scapegoat. Theres a ton of money going through that site, enough to tempt anyone. But maybe a charity can justify actively participating in crime and intentionally listing far above the actual value of something if its for a good cause. Its immoral and illegal. True there are jems to be found...even some deals, but be aware that they have no problem ripping off their customers. It's all over their website and before it came along it happened throughout their retail chain for decades. Not all charities are good. If you decide to use that site pay very close attention. Personally I think using a charity for crime is one of the lowest things someone can do considering the premise is to help people. People that qualify for that help must be protected. If a charity has no problem pinching its patrons then it probably has no problems pinching the till and donations.

I don't know anything about pokemon but I know I have a binder of my childhood cards and they are all first edition and mainly all shadowless but in poor condition so I keep them as a reminder of my childhood.

I was surprised when I saw the packs in the venusaur tin. When I opened it as a kid I had 2 black and white packs in it and remember getting a Jirachi from Legendary Treasures. Good memories

Just FYI I have pulled Bends and Dings out of cards with Heat Pressing but I also Clean them just like I do Comic books cards that you would think would be a 6 I can get 9s and even 10s.
