Wow, Kayla!!! I just came across this video and by your last run, I was jumping up and down, cheering you on, and with tears in my eyes!!! I'm 76 years old and haven't had this much excitement in a decade! CONGRATULATIONS 🏆 !!!! Great driving, great mechanic, great car build, and one great race !!!! Can't wait for next year!!!!
I very impressed with how well you did driving that car, you have tremendous car control. I have drag raced most of my life, and I am 78 now so I have seen a number of new drivers come along, but I can't remember 1 that started of better then you. I am looking forward to seeing you progress, just 2 suggestions always put safety first, 2nd have fun.
Kayla you rock, You drove like a professional and handled the car with whatever it was going to throw at you, I liked what one of your guys said to you ,you don't have to win just be safe.
Thank you so much. My entire goal was to stay safe throughout the entire event. I was SO nervous competing with us ALL being rookies... I was prepared for the worst thanks to Radford Driving School!
Congrats! You have got some balls. That's a lot of car and considering it didn't want to launch straight, plus concrete barriers right next to you as well as another car on the others side... you drove that thing like a pro! Sweet!
LOL I will take that. I smiled every time the car didn't want to go straight it was so fun to handle the chaos! Definitely fell in love. Thank you so much for the sweet compliments... don't make me feel to confident
Congrats, that's awesome. Your love and passion for cars have brought you this far and it's awesome to watch. Design Idea-Hemp bodied twin turbo 4 cylinder bio-diesel small supercar(watch Henry Ford hemp car videos)
Best video to end Labor Day weekend. Your eyes, your concentration, and determination was awesome to see in action. Outside view showed you maintaining control of the race car and quick reaction to correct the direction of the car as it head down the track. Very happy and proud of you for the win. You a building an awesome resume. Keep up the great work.
I stayed SO focused and kept repeating the steps in my head until the end. I wasn't even acting like myself.. looking back at the footage. Thank you so much for all the support! I appreciate it more than you know!
So proud of you Kayla, bringing the W back to AZ.. Cool to see both my girls Alex and you holding it down for the lady's at Roadkill.. Onto bigger and better things girlie! :D
@@KaylaRundleI know this was a year ago now but I’ve just gotta say this Kayla and please don’t take it the wrong way please cause I’m so proud of you and how well you did but please work on doing a better job with your safety gear. Please take the mindset of “all gear or no gear “.! If you have one piece of gear that you leave off, then you may as well go naked cause it will make that big a difference if you should ever need it. I know it gets hot and uncomfortable but your a tough cookie and it’s only a couple minutes of being uncomfortable to keep that pretty face and hands scar free, not to mention your lungs. My wife was a burn nurse for 25 years and the sad stories she could tell you of the drivers she had on her unit that didn’t think that 30 seconds without the visor down or gloves on would matter but several of them that only had small injuries that were easily survivable are no longer here cause when they hit the wall and a fireball erupted and made a fast pass through the cockpit and would have not caused any injury if the visor was down but instead, when fire hits like that the first instinct a driver has is to take a deep inhale cause it scared you. Without the visor down, the fire ball is directed into your helmet and down your throat as you suddenly inhale searing your esophagus and lungs which then fill up with fluid and can slowly drown you and it’s an extremely slow, agonizing way to go out so please young lady, please try to start utilizing that equipment so we have you around for a long time to come. Motorsports needs more like you and we’ve gotta protect y’all so we can learn from y’all!! Take care and be safe out there!
Congrats on your win. I was watching live stream from Houston, and they cut it off! :( So I have been waiting for your video. Good job. That's a heck of a car. I think you need to run it at the strip a time or two. No doubt it is an 8 second car. :)
That means so much that you were watching the live stream!! I appreciate the support so much. I was bummed the LIVE cut out since it was delayed from rain. Happy to can enjoy it here! AGREED 8 second car all day!!
Great job!! Totally agree, the boys at @Throtl were your biggest competition. They were genuinely happy you won and I am sure next time it will be a closer run. Hope you are thinking of getting into drifting too...keep the good content coming!!
They were such an amazing group of people and very supportive along the way. Means a ton in grudge matches like this when everyone was so helpful & supportive! Drifitng would be fun!! Many many more to come!
YES I always try my best to put it out in the universe. Speak it loud & proud and it usually comes true!! Hard work & determination definitely has an effect as well.
I am not used to TINY brakes. Everyone said I will not want to go back to my Camaro after driving that Cuda... but nothing beats the Camaro's NA power, big brakes combined with the muscle car feel on German suspension! LOL
Balls of Steel Climbing the Ladder Great Driving But Honestly Your Coach Crew Chief Pro Contender World Champion Drag Racer and Car Should Have Had to Drag a School bus Behind you to make things even lol And between you and Him You Still would have won Congrats
Just watched your video and really enjoyed it but the next time you come up to the starting line before you go down the track lower your visor. If something does happen that could save your eyes and your face. If that was the starter at an NHRA event he would have told you to lower it before he let you go
